Hello Mekomo -- Thanks for patrolling; I've declined the G1 speedy request and moved it to draft instead, as (according to Google Translate) it looks to be Hindi, not nonsense. Non-English language material isn't eligible for G1, at least if it appears coherent in the other language. Also Michael Nikou, while possibly not meeting the relevant notability guidelines, contains sufficient claims to pass the low threshold of A7. I suggest that you reread the guidelines carefully before nominating more articles for deletion under these criteria. Regards, Espresso Addict (talk) 09:20, 10 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Oscar Vogt moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Oscar Vogt. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and no evidence that it comes close to academic notability.. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit for review" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Ldm1954 (talk) 04:02, 9 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Upcoming expiry of your patroller right

Hi, this is an automated reminder as part of Global reminder bot to let you know that your permission "patroller" (New page reviewers) will expire on 00:00, 28 March 2025 (UTC). For most rights, you will need to renew at WP:PERM, unless you have been told otherwise when your right was approved. To opt out of user right expiry notifications, add yourself to m:Global reminder bot/Exclusion. Leaderbot (talk) 19:41, 21 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion declined: Tangible Africa

[edit]

Hello Mekomo. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Tangible Africa, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Not blatantly vandalism or a hoax. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 13:55, 24 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Much appreciated, you will see that I have begun to add references. Derek J Moore (talk) 16:04, 24 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Mekomo, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of List of programmes broadcast by HITS NOW, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Subject is not obviously invented by the page creator. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 17:29, 27 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

AFDs

[edit]

Hello, Mekomo,

Could you offer a policy-based and thorough deletion nomination with an AFD that clearly shows that you have completed a WP:BEFORE? Because simply writing "fails notability" is completely insufficient for a nominator to say. Did you examine the article's sources or look for additional sources? Please do better in the future or stop nominating articles for deletion consideration. Liz Read! Talk! 19:56, 19 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The subject is a friend of a friend of mine. You should notify the creator and any relevant projects. I notified the LGBTQ project as a courtesy. Bearian (talk) 23:56, 23 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Request to include fallout from 2020 report: Raphael Satter's OCI revocation

[edit]

This is not meant to suggest that Reuters as an organization was penalized—only to highlight the extended fallout from a Reuters investigative report. You have removed the edit even after I have updated it, Cashar334 Cashar334 (talk) 12:41, 17 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, in your own words: "This is not meant to suggest that Reuters as an organization was penalized", what then is the relevance of that information in the article if Reuters is not the one penalized? You said it all, and it is the reason that information is not suitable there. You can take that information to the journalist's individual article if it exists. Mekomo (talk) 14:56, 17 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your feedback, Mekomo. I understand your point. My intention was to highlight a development that indirectly relates to Reuters’ international reporting and potential geopolitical consequences tied to one of its journalists. However, I agree that since the OCI revocation was a personal action against Raphael Satter and not Reuters as an organization, it may be more appropriate in a dedicated article about the journalist himself.
I will consider moving or rewriting this content accordingly. Appreciate your clarification Cashar334 (talk) 05:21, 18 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Mekomo. This is a reminder that your Articles for Creation review on Great Upheaval is still marked as ongoing for over forty-eight hours. After seventy-two hours, Great Upheaval will be returned to the review queue so that other reviewers may review the draft.

If you wish to continue reviewing the draft but need more time before the bot returns it to the review queue, you can place {{bots|deny=TenshiBot}} on the draft so you can continue your review. Also, if you do not want to receive these notifications, you can place the same template on your talk page. TenshiBot (talk) 09:39, 3 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. You moved Shubh Maharaj to draft on the grounds of "no sources". Was that a mistake? Wikishovel (talk) 16:14, 23 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

It was a mistake. The article needs more sources. Mekomo (talk) 15:14, 24 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
