[edit]Speedy deletion declined: Mojtaba Fakhrian
[edit]Hello Mamani1990. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Mojtaba Fakhrian, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Not eligible for G5 as not previously blocked, professional footballer is enough for a7. Thank you. Barkeep49 (talk) 22:37, 7 September 2025 (UTC)
Introduction to contentious topics
[edit]You have recently edited a page related to the region of South Asia (India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal), broadly construed, including but not limited to history, politics, ethnicity, and social groups, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia's norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practices;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Additionally, you must be logged in, have 500 edits, and have an account age of 30 days in order to make edits related to two subtopics: (1) Indian military history, or (2) social groups, explicitly including caste associations and political parties related to India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

- Hi @Rosguill, thanks for your message. I understand what contentious topics are. I reverted an edit by someone for lacking any sources to what they were writing when I was patrolling recent changes. I see that you subsequently protected the page, thank you. Isn't this how it's supposed to happen? Best, m a MANÍ1990(talk | contribs) 17:11, 9 September 2025 (UTC)
- Yep, that seems fine. The notice is standard for anyone active in the topic and does not imply any wrongdoing. Thank you for your patrol-work. signed, Rosguill talk 17:15, 9 September 2025 (UTC)
Pierre Isabelle AfD
[edit]Hi. I thought I'd reply here rather than clutter up the AfD with things that aren't pertinent to Pierre Isabelle.
For me personally, when a long-standing editor like A.B. who's been on here for 20 years politely tells you you're wrong, I tend to listen.
We will have to agree to disagree on our approaches here. I like to come to my own conclusions, and seek community consensus rather than just relying on the opinion of one editor.
Are you aware that you can close out your own AfD as keep?
Yes. Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 13:05, 17 September 2025 (UTC)
- OK, thank you for your comments. Have a good one, m a MANÍ1990(talk | contribs) 13:49, 17 September 2025 (UTC)
Concerns about Andrei Zayats
[edit]Hi @Mamani1990, I noticed your proposed deletion of the Andrei Zayats article due to concerns about reliable sourcing and significant coverage. I completely understand WPs standards and I'm keen to improve the article rather than have it deleted. Would you be able to recommend specific sources or improvements that could help the article meet WP:GNG and WP:SIGCOV standards instead of deleting?
Also, I wanted to mention that a similar issue exists with the Alexander Mercury article, which may benefit from the same review approach. AdobongPogi masarap 🍛 00:21, 18 September 2025 (UTC)
- Also I changed and removed some other sources especially on IMDb that attached previously. AdobongPogi masarap 🍛 00:23, 18 September 2025 (UTC)
- Hello. The subject will need more in-depth coverage in reliable, independent sources to meet WP:GNG. It may just be a little early for a full article right now, but if stronger sources appear in the future, the topic could definitely be revisited. m a MANÍ1990(talk | contribs) 01:25, 18 September 2025 (UTC)
- Hmm, but if I may ask a favor since the article is still a bit early, would it be possible to move it to draft space? I'm fine either way with your decision to delete it, as you're right. I support your review, and I also want to thank you for your help! AdobongPogi masarap 🍛 01:30, 18 September 2025 (UTC)
- Hi, sure. I can move it to your draft space. I will do this tomorrow night when I'm on my desktop. We still have time, the PROD date is the 20th. Cheers, m a MANÍ1990(talk | contribs) 01:35, 18 September 2025 (UTC)
- Hi @AdobongPogi, I've moved the page in question to: User:AdobongPogi/Draft:Andrei Zayats . Feel free to edit it on your own time. Please consider submitting it to AFC before moving it back to the main space, or it risks a swift deletion. Thank you, cheers, m a MANÍ1990(talk | contribs) 21:06, 18 September 2025 (UTC)

Re macaroni chinois and garbage plates
[edit]I have had a garbage plate and it was alright. One of those "when in rome" things for sure. I will definitely seek out the mac next trip to Montreal. Metallurgist (talk) 06:18, 21 September 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for the thanks, but its giving a lot of notifications. Once is enough for an article :) Metallurgist (talk) 20:11, 23 September 2025 (UTC)
- Sorry about that. And yes, totally a "when in Rome" situation. Thanks for your help on that article. If I can ever be of service, please let me know. Best, m a MANÍ1990(talk | contribs) 21:54, 23 September 2025 (UTC)

[edit]Awesome work finding sources for the macaroni chinois page. I didn't have time to look for French sources so I'm glad you stepped in. Have a great day! AllWeKnowOfHeaven (talk) 03:15, 23 September 2025 (UTC)

[edit]Blocked as a sockpuppet
[edit]Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice:
{{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.
Unblock request
[edit]
Mamani1990 (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
Good afternoon. I don't deny the evidence presented at the SPI, my current account Mamani1990 = TitCrisse, Pramod8375, and Zivlo. I did state previously that TitCrisse = Pramod8375 & Zivlo. This means I did lie on my first day when I was asked by the admin Liz if I had previous accounts and I said no, I apologize. The issue I have is that I am being blocked for "evading a global ban" when no evidence exists linking me to the sock in question and I categorically deny being connected to ConsumersDistributingonline. AmandaNP originally blocked my TitCrisse account after I wrote a profane all caps message to the same admin, Liz. I am very sorry for having lost my temper at Liz and writing profanities, as well as lying to her when she asked me about my Mamani1990 account. I simply wanted to put the TitCrisse story behind me and continue to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. I would also like to note that no formal CU was done to actually link TitCrisse to ConsumersDistributingonline, the request is still open here: https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikip%C3%A9dia:V%C3%A9rificateur_d%27utilisateurs/Requ%C3%AAtes/d%C3%A9cembre_2024#TitCrisse,_Distribution_aux_Consommateurs_-_23_d%C3%A9cembre . I updated the Wiki page of Louis Lagassé on the FR Wiki and then M5t2021, Media5130, Jmdault, and PROMOD6969 were confirmed by CU to be puppets of ConsumersDistributingonline. I got roped into all of it for some reason. I kept wanting to put sourced information about Louis Lagassé's legal troubles. In conclusion, I wish to continue contributing to Wikipedia as I have done constructively under Mamani1990. I believe a global indef ban is unwarranted and excessive. Thank you for considering my request. 76.69.227.70 (talk) 17:45, 20 October 2025 (UTC)
Decline reason:
Hi there! We can only accept unblock requests from the blocked user. Because you are not logged in, we cannot determine whether this unblock request came from you. Please log in, then submit a new request. Thank you! Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 04:16, 24 October 2025 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- (Non-administrator comment) Hi, FYI I'm not sure whether an unblock request can be accepted if it comes from a different account/IP and not the original account. It can also be seen as evading your block, so please be careful. No further comment as I'm not an admin, just a bit of friendly advice from one editor to another.
