Can you revert the two page moves made today by Isma4l (talk · contribs)? They were undiscussed and seem pointless. Thanks. 10mmsocket (talk) 16:51, 14 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@10mmsocket That user just did it themselves. Largoplazo (talk) 16:57, 14 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Bizarred. Over 400 edit in less than a week. About 300 of those are (incorrectly) adding a single full stop or comma on a single bullet point. Looking I'd say 95% of the edits need to be reverted. I'm so very very close to going ANI on him. Unless you do first! 10mmsocket (talk) 17:00, 14 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia as a tool of surveillance and harassment

[edit]

You are engaging in inappropriate harassment using sexual content. The content removed was not relevant, and you know it. It is simply there to humiliate and intimidate. Cease your crowdsourced harassment immediately. Noyoudont123 (talk) 16:43, 15 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Talk page stalker here. You are censoring Wikipedia based on "I don't like it" - see WP:IDONTLIKEIT. That's wrong and is not acceptable behaviour. You need to read WP:NOTCENSORED. Then, if you really believe that the content needs to be removed, go to the article talk page Talk:Jonathan Daniel Brown and start a discussion where you set out your objections to the material and why you think its removal is justified. Simply throwing around wild accusations like the one above will see you receive short shrift from other editors. Take the advice and play nice. 10mmsocket (talk) 17:08, 15 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It's easy to be sanctimonious because you live in the comfort of anonymity and have the freedom to harass people at will while using Wikipedia policy as a shield. Here's the deal: I don't care about your policies or community. I want the harassment to stop. Noyoudont123 (talk) 18:13, 15 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Noyoudont123 It's inappropriate, in an article about a film actor, to discuss the films the actor has been in? It's harassment? Bizarre. "Sexual content"? Yes, per the sources, one of the man's performances was in a film with sexual content. And don't go projecting motives on other people based on nothing. By the way, see WP:CIVIL, WP:AGF, and WP:NOTCENSORED. Largoplazo (talk) 17:36, 15 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I didnt consent to have a Wikipedia page. This is anonymous stalking and harassment under the guise of a encyclopedia. I can't imagine your IT clients or family would want to know every dumb thing you did as a teenager. I don't care about your goofy policies. You're a creep. Noyoudont123 (talk) 17:55, 15 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Noyoudont123 Oh, I see. I didn't realize that you are the article's subject. That explains your reaction. I though you were some random third party deciding for everyone what the article shouldn't say about its subject.
Anyway, an encyclopedia doesn't need someone's permission to have an article about them. Since it's a biography, there are special guidelines that are applicable for the protection of their subject and, if you're its subject, you do have recourse in certain areas. See WP:Biographies of living persons for guidance. Its provisions for dealing with biographical information about yourself are at the section that you can visit directly at WP:BLPCOMPLAIN. In particular, it points folks in your situation to the BLP noticeboard, tended by people familiar with situations such as these. They can review the situation and work out a solution.
That notwithstanding, you should also know about the provisions regarding directly editing material over which you have a conflict of interest.
As for "stalking" and "harassment", I personally don't think either word is applicable here. As far as I can tell, the information was out on the web—TMZ, Perez Hilton—by 2012, three years before the article appeared here. Someone doing the research that goes into building an article would have come across it naturally and could have included it with no malicious intent. It may certainly not have occurred to them that the subject would have been embarrassed by it. Largoplazo (talk) 20:47, 15 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I don't care. Let's reach out to your clients and ask them how they feel about your obsession with digging up old sex tape gossip. Weirdo Noyoudont123 (talk) 22:43, 15 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
And if you think I'm bluffing, ask @Josve05a about the conversation he had with his employers at Scandic Hotels. Leave me alone. Noyoudont123 (talk) 22:54, 15 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
(a) I didn't put that content there, so stop talking to me like I did, (b) re "Leave me alone", you came here to my talk page, (c) bluffing about what?, and (d) the usual response to someone who's shown some sympathy for your situation and helpfully pointed you in the best direction to go to deal with it constructively is "thank you". Largoplazo (talk) 00:04, 16 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It sucks to have crap on your page that you don't want, doesn't it? Take care, nerd. Noyoudont123 (talk) 02:58, 16 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Noyoudont123, another talk page stalker here. I've reviewed the sources in question and find there is a credible case for removal. The Daily actor source reads like a blog, while TMZ is considered a low quality source, especially for WP:BLPs. Would you be willing to work together in this regard, perhaps either on the article's talk page or the Biography of living persons noticeboard? — 🪫Volatile 📲T | ⌨️C 03:57, 16 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Sure. It's been years of this crap. Noyoudont123 (talk) 05:59, 16 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction to contentious topics

[edit]

You have recently edited a page related to articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia's norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Any idea what the recent spike [1] was caused by? Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 06:03, 4 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Gråbergs Gråa Sång Whatever it was has nothing to do with that country in particular. Check out the analysis with a few more countries added: [2] Largoplazo (talk) 10:36, 4 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm. This is clearly an indicator that the secret plan to expand Eastern Europe is about to be set in motion. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 10:44, 4 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Gråbergs Gråa Sång Ha! (Curious about the regionality, though, I replaced Poland with Morocco: [3].) Largoplazo (talk) 10:51, 4 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Some sport-event, maybe. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 11:06, 4 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I had to look into that map a bit, but according to [4], this pov/division exists. Sakhalin is in Eastern Europe. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 06:35, 8 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
