Masters and Vices moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to Masters and Vices. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. BOVINEBOY2008 00:43, 10 November 2025 (UTC)
- Hi Bovineboy2008,
- Thank you for your message. Please could you kindly explain your rationale for the following:
- · Why you have removed the accolades section and its subsequent references from the Masters and Vices Wikipedia page? Surely the film obtaining over 16 awards would contribute to its notability?
- · Why you have removed the film’s official iMDB citation? This is a public page which serves as a reference point for the film’s tech specs, production timeline and cast order that is regularly monitored by iMDb staff for accuracy.
- · Why you have removed the Official Poster and Official Teaser Trailer poster from the Masters and Vices Wikipedia page when the film’s Director and Producer clearly states the following on their FilmFreeway page: “A fair use policy is in place for the Official and Teaser Poster of Masters and Vices (2025) for all cast and crew and Film Festivals who have the film as part of their official selection or online articles, pages and forums who wish to cover and/or discuss the film”.
- · You have advised that the article “needs more sources to establish notability”. The article had 16 references, so please advise what you personally would consider enough references to establish nobility?
- The Masters and Vices Wikipedia page has links to two artist’s Wikipedia pages- namely Bret Autry of Blue Stahli and Vartan Vahramian. The film’s end credits, trailer billing blocks and iMDB page all verify their contribution to the soundtrack, so am confused as to why you have considered the film to not be notable.
- I would appreciate if you could respond to these queries by Friday 14th November, so I know where I stand going forward
- Kind regards

Nov 2025 - COI Enquiry
[edit]Hello, Filmbuff2025.
Are you affiliated personally or professionally in any way with the film Masters and Vices or its production staff? If you are, you must disclose this.
Thanks, Athanelar (talk) 12:06, 16 November 2025 (UTC)
- Hello Athanelar,
- Thank you for your message. No I am not.
- Kind regards Filmbuff2025 (talk) 12:26, 16 November 2025 (UTC)
- Why did your edit summary for the creation of the Masters and Vices article describe it as the "official Wikipedia page of Masters and Vices"? Athanelar (talk) 12:34, 16 November 2025 (UTC)
- Hello Athanelar,
- Thank you for your message. The rationale for following this nomenclature is to act as a reference point in case the film features on another site or app which contains the word wiki or wikipedia- e.g. Moviepedia. The word ‘official’ aims to distinguish the Wikipedia page i.e. the official Wikipedia page from other websites or apps that sound similar. I trust this answers your query.
- Kind regards Filmbuff2025 (talk) 15:06, 16 November 2025 (UTC)
- That doesn't make any sense at all. Your concern is that somebody's going to check the edit history for a Wikipedia article on Wikipedia and be confused about whether the article is on Wikipedia or another similarly-named site, and will be rescued from this confusion by you describing it as 'the official Wikipedia page' in your edit? Athanelar (talk) 15:18, 16 November 2025 (UTC)
- Hello Athanelar,
- Thank you for your message. It is to clarify what I edited- for all to see. Just as an example, the word official is used in film posters e.g. the Official Movie Poster to distinguish it from a Fan Made Movie Poster. I trust this answers your query.

I am bad at usernames (talk · contribs) 19:16, 16 November 2025 (UTC)
- Dear I am bad at usernames,
- Thank you for your message. With regards to the plot section of Masters and Vices, I was not aware that it was copyrighted material as the filmmaker did not specify this. Thank you for bringing his to my attention. I did slightly change the wording of the synopsis which I found online so it was not an exact copy of the one the filmmaker had released. I was under the impression that if I altered some of the wording or sentence structure then it would not have been flagged up as a copyright violation. Please could you kindly advise if one is allowed to add a plot section for the film and how to go about doing so- would I need to completely change the wording of the synopsis as long as it more or less describes the plot? Any advice and/or guidance which could be offered would be greatly appreciated.
- Also, with regards to the posters of the film, the Director and Producer has specified in their FilmFreeway page (Masters and Vices - FilmFreeway) that a fair use policy is in place for them, hence me removing the copyright notice for those.
