Hello, Michealezeh3, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Vision Africa Radio, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's content policies and may not be retained. In short, the topic of an article must be notable and have already been the subject of publication by reliable and independent sources.

Please review Your first article for an overview of the article creation process. The Article Wizard is available to help you create an article, where it will be reviewed and considered for publication. For information on how to request a new article that can be created by someone else, see Requested articles. If you are stuck, come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can help you through the processes.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Methodist Church Nigeria (M. C. N.), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Episcopal Church. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Ifeanyi Onuba, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Information icon Hello, I'm Deb. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you.

Deb (talk) 15:34, 11 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your message and for highlighting Wikipedia’s policies on promotional content and conflict of interest (COI). I appreciate your efforts to maintain the integrity of Wikipedia’s content and would like to address the concerns raised regarding my recent contribution to the draft article on Ifeanyi Onuba.
Regarding the promotional content warning, I understand that Wikipedia requires articles to be written from a neutral point of view, using independent and reliable sources, without promotional language. My intention was to create a factual and objective article about Ifeanyi Onuba, a Nigerian journalist, focusing on his professional contributions as documented in reputable sources such as Premium Times, Punch Newspapers, and The Whistler. I have avoided subjective or laudatory language and ensured all claims are supported by verifiable citations. If any part of the draft appears promotional, I’d appreciate specific feedback on which sections or phrases need revision, and I’m happy to make adjustments to align with Wikipedia’s neutral point of view policy (WP:NPOV).
Thank you again for your guidance. I’m committed to ensuring this article meets Wikipedia’s standards and welcome any suggestions for improvement. Please let me know how I can proceed to resolve these concerns. Editor1769 (talk) 16:32, 11 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

You're not a newbie. You should know better than trying to remove an AfD tag. It's harmful to your reputation. Bearian (talk) 04:00, 14 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Poor tagging

[edit]

Your article tagging choices are not very good. Given that you are also an undisclosed paid editor (above and Special:Diff/1100747692/1305369072 that you later deleted) I question why are you making these rapid and seemingly not well thought out tagging choices? It looks like you are trying to appear like a real editor, doing real work, but are actually trying to establish a reputation as a good editor. Which is not working very well, because you are not experienced and should not be making these kinds of edits, some of which are damaging. -- GreenC 18:55, 28 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like to clarify that my edit was a one-time paid task for a specific article, which was later deleted. As per WP:COI and WP:PAID, I believe I followed the necessary disclosure and editing guidelines. I'd appreciate feedback on my tagging choices. Editor1769 19:47, 28 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Question from SamWoods-Brass (07:12, 6 September 2025)

[edit]

How do I avoid if other editors with an agenda for spreading propaganda and misinformation changing articles that meet their intention of misinformed information? As I used to edit pages and set factual information I had reviewed after this and found opinions overriding the facts I had previously shared years ago? --SamWoods-Brass (talk) 07:12, 6 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest ensuring all edits are supported by reliable, independent sources to deter opinion-based changes. Monitor articles through your watchlist to quickly address unsupported edits. Engage in discussions on the article’s talk page, referencing neutral point of view and verifiability policies to resolve disputes. For pages facing persistent misinformation, request semi-protection at Requests for Page Protection. If editors continue pushing propaganda, report them with evidence at Administrator’s Noticeboard/Incidents. You can share specific article issues for more tailored guidance.
