[edit] Please refrain from adding, removing or changing genres, as you did to You Belong With Me, without providing a source or establishing a consensus on the article's talk page first. Genre changes to suit your own point of view are considered disruptive. Thank you. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 17:36, 5 March 2024 (UTC)

[edit] Hello, I'm Binnenstaat. I noticed that you recently removed content from Shingo Nishiyama without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. [edit] Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Adele Live 2016, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. CycloneYoris talk! 06:13, 4 January 2025 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's no original research policy by adding your personal analysis or synthesis into articles, as you did at Streisand (concert tour), you may be blocked from editing. HorrorLover555 (talk) 03:14, 20 January 2025 (UTC)
- This is not original research! I look at each attendance total and revenue total and try to add it all up. If that did not help me, I used an online calculator to add up everything. I do not like the warnings about being blocked because all I'm trying to do is help Wikipedia by fixing some information up. Please do not attack me for trying to help - I would gladly appreciate it! 108.26.172.49 (talk) 03:24, 20 January 2025 (UTC)
- Except that it is. Please try to provide a source instead of violating WP:OR with your calculations which counts as original research. Thank you. HorrorLover555 (talk) 03:35, 20 January 2025 (UTC)

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at U + Ur Hand. All the Best -- Chuck Talk 20:13, 25 March 2025 (UTC)
- PLEASE do not block me from editing. I am not trying to vandalize Wikipedia; I am applying sources when I edit, and I do not appreciate getting in trouble with you guys when I try to help Wikipedia's articles thrive. I just want you all to understand that I am not a vandal and that I am simply helping by adding reliable sources to articles, even if I don't have an account.
- All the best,
- Meaghan Brown 108.26.172.49 (talk) 20:23, 25 March 2025 (UTC)
- Dear Alachuckthebuck,
- PLEASE do not block me from editing. The source I put on the U + Ur Hand page was sourced with the liner notes of I'm Not Dead, and I am NOT trying to vandalize Wikipedia, not even to spite you or any other editor. I am applying sources when I edit, and I do not appreciate getting in trouble on my talk page when I try to help Wikipedia's articles thrive. I just need you to understand that I am no vandal and that I am simply helping by adding reliable and useful sources to articles, even if I don't have an account. I would be very sad if I am blocked and/or banned from editing Wikipedia, as editing is a part of my life and I would find it a setback if I am treated like a vandal for trying to help out by making consistent but useful contributions to Wikipedia's articles. I hope you will be able to understand where I am coming from.
- All the best,

Recording locations
[edit]Hello! Could you please direct me to the exact source for these locations? Unless I'm missing something, the Speak Now liner notes don't really specify locations for each song, they provide locations for the album as a whole. Thanks, Medxvo (talk) 00:15, 21 April 2025 (UTC)
- Hello! If you go onto Google and type in Taylor Swift Mean recorded at and type in one of the recording locations on the album, Google also generates an AI search that gives you information about where each song was indeed recorded. Hope this helps! 108.26.172.49 (talk) 00:19, 21 April 2025 (UTC)
- AI can make stuff up... I have the liner notes, and they just don't specify the recording locations for each song. I also couldn't locate any source online that verifies the "Mean" recording locations. Medxvo (talk) 00:23, 21 April 2025 (UTC)
question about the boxscore stats you added
[edit]Hi! i hope you´re doing well. I wanted to ask if you happen to have acces to Shakira's tour history in Pollstar, since i've seen that you've added several boxscore stats to some of her tours. I was wondering if you'd be willing to share it? I'd really appreciate it - im a big fan of hers and would love to see that data, if possible. Thanks so much in advance! Dreamy2929 (talk) 04:33, 20 May 2025 (UTC)
- Hi,
- I couldn't find anything on her tour history except for her upcoming tour dates, but I was able to find and source those I could find from Google Books' Billboard magazines, as well as some foreign pages of her tours on Wikipedia. I'm not trying to vandalize anything...I'm only trying to help make Wikipedia a better place to find useful information that people can read and acknowledge. The pages I tried added boxscore stats to her tours was the Tour of the Mongoose and the El Dorado Tour but those were reverted. The page that had useful information on the Oral Fixation Tour attendance and revenue was this page (https://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E6%84%9B%E7%9A%84%E5%8E%9F%E7%BD%AA%E5%B7%A1%E8%BF%B4%E6%BC%94%E5%94%B1%E6%9C%83). It's in Chinese, but look closely at the revenue and the attendance and you'll find it perfectly matches what I was able to find for the Oral Fixation Tour! Hope this is helpful for you.
- Sincerely,
- Meaghan Brown 108.26.172.49 (talk) 18:53, 25 May 2025 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Santa Tell Me has been reverted.

[edit] Hello, I'm Magic Fizz. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Spinning Around, but the source cited did not support that content. It has been removed for now, but if you would like to include a citation that verifies the content and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Magic Fizz (talk) 06:49, 14 June 2025 (UTC)
Hello! Thank you for your efforts to improve Wikipedia, and in particular for adding references, as you did to Spinning Around! However, adding a bare URL is not ideal, and exposes the reference to link rot. It is preferable to use proper citation templates when citing sources, including details such as title, author, date, and any other information necessary for a bibliographic citation. Here's an example of a full citation using the {{cite web}} template to cite a web page:
Lorem ipsum<ref>{{cite web |title=Download the Scanning Software - Windows and Mac |publisher=Canon Inc |work=Ask a Question |date=2022 |url=https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/index?page=content&id=ART174839 |access-date=2022-04-02}}</ref> dolor sit amet.
which displays inline in the running text of the article as:
- Lorem ipsum[1] dolor sit amet.
and displays under References as:
- ^ Download the Scanning Software - Windows and Mac". Ask a Question. Canon Inc. 2022. Retrieved 2022-04-02.
If you've already added one or more bare URLs to an article, there are tools available to expand them into full citations: in the wikitext editor, try the reFill tool, and in the Visual Editor, the reference dialog can convert some bare urls into a full citation. Once again, thanks for adding references to articles. Magic Fizz (talk) 06:49, 14 June 2025 (UTC)
July 3rd edits
[edit]On July 3rd, someone using this IP address did some great editing but they also added citation errors to the following articles:
- Give Me Just A Little More Time
- I Guess I Like It Like That
- Finer Feelings...a subsequent edit by Andy02124 fixed the cite error issue.
- What Do I Have to Do
- Never Too Late (Kylie Minogue song)
This editor - maybe even whoever is reading this user talk page message - added {{Sfn}} cites without also adding complete or "target" references for the SFNs to connect to. If one looks at this IP's contributions, one can see the tag of Tag: harv or sfn error at the end of every edit's line in their contributions of these 5 articles.
For instance, Ref #10 in "Give Me Just A Little More Time" is constructed as {{harvnb|PWL|1991d}} but there is no target or complete ref for the harvnb to connect with. I am not familiar with the PML linernotes for this Minogue song. If you could add a complete ref for the sfn to connect with, something similar to what Andy02124 did, that will remove the Harv error issue from "Give Me Just A Little More Time" and that will in turn remove the article from Category:Harv and Sfn no-target errors. - Shearonink (talk) 17:55, 20 July 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for the advice. I know it's hard to find the correct sources for that type of information (because there's hardly any credits or personnel in those types of articles), but I am trying my hardest to improve Wikipedia. I appreciate the good feedback you gave me. Perhaps that could help me in the future.
- Sincerely,
- Meaghan Brown 108.26.172.49 (talk) 23:36, 20 July 2025 (UTC)
- Well, I told you so you could fix the cite errors and so you could fix the various issues. I don't have access to any liner notes, I cannot verify the information you posted, I am assuming that you have access to these cited linernotes & their information.
- If you don't understand how to correct something, go to Wikipedia:Village pump (technical) and post your question. Someone knowledgable will probably get back to you fairly quickly. I post queries on that page all the time, when I don't understand how to edit something around here. Also, looks like you should think about getting a named account. You're obviously competent and should have the privileges of your own user space here on Wikipedia. - Shearonink (talk) 18:31, 21 July 2025 (UTC)
