Dates in short descriptions
[edit]Please note my edit summaries at [1] and [2]. Dates in short descriptions should be formatted as described at Wikipedia:Short description#Inclusion of dates. Thanks. DrKay (talk) 17:09, 25 September 2025 (UTC)
- Interestingly, that rule isn't being applied to the short descriptions of Trump and Churchill, as well as the Plantagenet kings Henry VI and Edward IV, who all served non-consecutive tenures. Векочел (talk) 17:11, 25 September 2025 (UTC)

[edit]Hi @Векочел, if you're not going to continue reviewing the article "Government of the Ming dynasty" anymore, I suggest you mark it as failed. Min968 (talk) 19:31, 19 October 2025 (UTC)
- My intention is that someone else take over the review. I have not judged it either way. Векочел (talk) 03:49, 20 October 2025 (UTC)

Manual of Style on Titles
[edit]Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Biography#Positions, offices, and occupational titles says use capitals "When referring to an office or title itself, (as King of France); is not plural (Kings of France); is not preceded by a modifier (including a definite or indefinite article) (the King of France, former King of France), and is not a reworded description (Head of Government of France)." You don't appear to be following this at Eleanor of Aquitaine. Your changes include changing offices and titles to lower case (such as Queen of France to queen of France) and changing plurals from lower case to upper case (such as counts and kings to Counts and Kings). The guidelines says upper case should be used for titles and lower case should be used for plurals, not the other way around. Celia Homeford (talk) 14:10, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
- You just did the same thing again: [3]. Celia Homeford (talk) 08:51, 4 November 2025 (UTC)

[edit]@Векочел Currently, I am nominating the Jingtai Emperor article for FA. If you have time, could you please take a look? Min968 (talk) 14:29, 30 October 2025 (UTC)
- I will look at it shortly. Векочел (talk) 23:00, 31 October 2025 (UTC)

[edit]
Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to Raynald of Châtillon when you modified the page, you introduced unknown parameters. Just because you specify |some_param=some_variable does not always mean that variable will display. The |some_param= must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance.
Thank you. Zackmann (Talk to me/What I been doing) 17:44, 1 December 2025 (UTC)
