About me

[edit]

Hi, I'm Patient Zero! Feel free to call me PZ (or any other nickname you can think of). I am from the UK, and am currently a student teacher. People often ask me why I chose my username; here is an explanation! I started editing Wikipedia as a teenager; I am now in my mid-twenties, and am proud to say I have been a Wikipedia editor for over a decade.

In my spare time, I like watching Formula 1 races (I am a fan of the McLaren racing team, as well as both of their drivers, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri), playing squash, taking part in cross-country running, learning languages, building LEGO models, playing chess, playing video games, and of course, editing Wikipedia!

I hold an undergraduate degree in law and a Masters degree in criminology; please note, however, that I do not give out legal advice online.

It appears you have stumbled across my user page; in which case, nice to meet you! Or, maybe we have already met, and you’d like to talk to me about something, in which case, feel free to leave a message at my talk page.

I created my Wikipedia account in January 2014, but started editing more between 2015 and 2018. I then took an on-and-off wikibreak between late 2018 to mid-2021 in order to focus on my law degree (hence the gap in my contributions). My work here mainly comprises reverting vandalism using Twinkle and Huggle, using AutoWikiBrowser to correct typos, tagging pages for deletion using the CSD criteria, commenting at deletion discussions, and checking articles for accessibility issues. I may be found working in other areas on occasion, also!

I also volunteer with Wikimedia UK, and so you may see me editing from my training account whenever I partake in any outreach work.

I speak several languages to varying degrees, and welcome correspondence in French, Spanish, or Welsh over on my frwiki/eswiki/cywiki talk pages. This will not result in any delay in my response, as I have global notifications enabled.
