Planet of the Apes

[edit]

Why is there no discussion of his screenplay for Planet of the Apes. I came to his page hoping to learn why his name was initially left off the movie. — MiguelMunoz (talk) 01:11, 4 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Will discuss it inline when I have a moment. Might do it tomorrow. Viriditas (talk) 09:42, 13 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Fantasy Park

[edit]
Serling's final radio performance was even more unusual: Fantasy Park was a 48-hour-long rock concert aired by nearly 200 stations in 1974 and 1975. The program, written and produced by McLendon National Productions Director Steve Blackson, featured performances by dozens of rock stars of the day, and even reunited the Beatles. It was also completely imaginary—as KNUS Program Director Beau Weaver put it, a "theatre-of-the-mind for the '70s".

Not unusual in the slightest...for its time. The Firesign Theatre had been doing this since 1966. This section probably needs to be reworked to make it understood that for its time, this was not unusual, it was normal. Viriditas (talk) 09:27, 13 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
