The Pasir Ris-Changi Group Representation Constituency is a four-member Group Representation Constituency (GRC) in the eastern region of Singapore. It consists part of the Siglap ward of the East Coast GRC, as well as the Pasir Ris East, Pasir Ris Central and Pasir Ris West wards of the Pasir Ris–Punggol GRC, thus forming Changi, Pasir Ris Central, Pasir Ris East and Pasir Ris West wards. This was necessitated due to the formation of Punggol GRC to reflect the town's identity, resulting in the need to take in Loyang and Flora estates, as well as Changi Airport, Changi Village, Pulau Tekong and Pulau Ubin in East Coast GRC.
History
[edit]Before the 2025 general election, Pasir Ris-Changi GRC was formed by merging the remaining wards in Pasir Ris–Punggol GRC; being Pasir Ris East, Pasir Ris Central and Pasir Ris West, along with the Changi part of the East Coast GRC. As a result, Changi Village, Loyang and Flora estates will come under this GRC, as opposed to East Coast GRC.[1]
The GRC shall also cover the North-Eastern Islands of Singapore, including Pulau Tekong and Pedra Branca.
On 21 April, PAP announced Indranee Rajah left her previous GRC, Tanjong Pagar GRC to lead a team comprising Sharael Taha, Desmond Tan and Valerie Lee to contest the GRC.[2] On 23 April, Singapore Democratic Alliance (SDA) chairman Desmond Lim led a team comprising Abu Mohamed, Harminder Pal Singh and Chia Yun Kai.[3]
