Vinoth Rathinasamy is an Indian cinematographer who works predominantly in Tamil films. His work in films such as Chennai Ungalai Anbudan Varaverkirathu, Munnodi[1], Nedunalvaadai[2], MGR Magan[3], Bumper[4], and Aalambana[5] garnered recognition.

Early life

Vinoth Rathinasamy was born in Nallavinayagapuram, a village in Sirkali taluk, Mayiladuthurai district, Tamil Nadu. He completed his B.Sc. in Physics at A.V.C. College, Mayiladuthurai, and earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Media Presentation from Loyola College, Chennai. He worked as an assistant to renowned cinematographer R. D. Rajasekhar before debuting as a cinematographer in the film Chennai Ungalai Anbudan Varaverkirathu.

Career

Vinoth Rathinasamy has received attention in prominent Indian media for his visual storytelling. His work in Nedunalvaadai earned praise from critics, with The Hindu highlighting the film’s cinematography.[2] In an article by the Deccan Chronicle, he was lauded for his visuals in Bumper, which added to his reputation.[6] The Times of India also referred to him as "Nedunalvaadai-fame" in coverage of MGR Magan.[7]
