MDNtv is a South African nonprofit digital media organisation founded on 28 October 2021 by Major Daughter.[1] The organisation focuses on public-interest journalism, with a primary emphasis on legal reporting, investigative work, and digital media training. In December 2024, MDNtv was named "Most Informative Online Publication" at the inaugural Behind The Scene Awards (BTSAs).[5] Other nominees included Daily Sun (South Africa), TimesLIVE, Isolezwe, and Sunday World. The Behind Scene Awards (BTSAs) are South African awards that recognize contributions in the fields of entertainment and media.
