Submission declined on 23 July 2025 by Theroadislong (talk). This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies.

FileCloud
[edit]FileCloud is an enterprise content collaboration and file sharing platform developed by CodeLathe Inc., a private software company based in Austin, Texas. The platform supports file synchronization, sharing, backup, digital rights management, and compliance capabilities, and can be deployed on-premises, in the cloud, or via hybrid models.
History
[edit]CodeLathe originally launched a personal cloud solution called Tonido in 2008. Founded by Madhan Kanagavel and Manoj Mohandas, CodeLathe initially targeted home users with Tonido and associated hardware like TonidoPlug. However, user feedback highlighted demand for a business-grade version, prompting a pivot into enterprise software. In 2012, the company introduced FileCloud as a business-grade alternative focused on enterprise file sharing and collaboration.[1]
In December 2021, FileCloud raised US $30 million in a Series A round led by Savant Growth Fund I LP, with participation from Kennet Partners, and secured a US $10 million credit facility from Avidbank[2]. As part of the round, Ray Downes, former CEO of Kemp Technologies, joined as CEO, and Kemp co-founder Peter Melerud became CRO; founder Madhan Kanagavel shifted to President & CTO.
Following the Series A, FileCloud expanded its global footprint, establishing an office in Limerick, Ireland (2022) to support European customers. In May 2024, FileCloud acquired Signority, a Canadian e-signature and document workflow company, integrating those capabilities into its platform[3].
Recognition

FileCloud has been recognized by Inc. magazine, which named it to the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing U.S. private companies. in 2022, 2023, and 2024. The 2024 listing, in particular, reflected an 81% three-year growth rate.[5]

Funding
[edit]In December 2021, FileCloud ended its long-standing bootstrapped model by securing US $30 million in a Series A funding round led by Savant Growth Fund I LP, with participation from Kennet Partners. In conjunction with this equity financing, the company also obtained a US $10 million credit facility from Avidbank.[2]
In January 2025, FileCloud secured a significant growth investment from Level Structured Capital (an affiliate of Level Equity). Although the amount was undisclosed, the funds were explicitly targeted toward accelerating AI-based data governance features, enhancing global sales and channel capabilities, and supporting the company's expansion across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia[11].
