Ayodhyalanka (Telugu: అయోధ్యలంక) is a river island village in the Achanta mandal of West Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh, India. It is situated between two branches of the Godavari River, linking the East Godavari and West Godavari districts.[1] The settlement is accessible only by boat, as there are no bridges or direct road connections to the mainland.[2]

The village is part of the Achanta Assembly Constituency.[3]

Geography

Ayodhyalanka lies within the Godavari River delta and has an average elevation of about 14 metres above sea level. The surrounding land supports crop cultivation and forms part of a riverine habitat where various bird species, including migratory ones, are found.

Transport

There is no road infrastructure connecting the village to the mainland. Passenger movement takes place via country boats and small ferries that operate to points in both East Godavari and West Godavari districts.[4]

Demographics and language

The official language of Ayodhyalanka is Telugu. Agriculture and fishing are the primary occupations of the residents.

Education

The village has a Mandal Parishad Upper Primary School (MPUPS), managed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.[5]
