Draft:Ananya Birla Foundation

  • Comment: Draft was resubmitted without modification. Rejecting without the option to resubmit as there is no indication of notability (nearly everything here falls under WP:CORPTRIV) and there's no point in leaving a 7th decline. If this were in mainspace, the odds of it surviving an Articles for Deletion discussion would be low.  Vanilla  Wizard 💙 23:06, 24 August 2025 (UTC)
  • Comment: And for starters, this is even indicated by the citation template – it says that "first" or "last" has a "generic name". Please fix, thanks! --Johannes (Talk) (Contribs) (Articles) 17:45, 7 August 2025 (UTC)
  • Comment: You must have a look at your citations. Citing "Standard Business", "India Fortune", or "EP News Bureau" makes no sense as they are not a proper subset of "human". Obvious instant decline here. --Johannes (Talk) (Contribs) (Articles) 17:44, 7 August 2025 (UTC)
  • Comment: Routine business reporting does not establish notability per WP:ORG. DoubleGrazing (talk) 08:44, 4 August 2025 (UTC)
  • Comment: The Business Standard source is good, but the study "was supported and funded by Ananya Birla Foundation." Kovcszaln6 (talk) 08:19, 31 July 2025 (UTC)

Ananya Birla Foundation is an Indian non-profit organisation which was founded in 2020 by Ananya Birla.[1][2]

Activities

[edit]
  • Project Blank Slate: A rural mental health research initiative launched by the Ananya Birla Foundation in 2023–24, dedicated to understanding mental health challenges among women in rural Maharashtra. The multi‑phase study investigates personal narratives, barriers to care, and cultural coping strategies, with the objective of designing sustainable interventions and increasing awareness in underserved communities.[3][4]
  • Project One: An arts‑education programme providing music training and resources for underprivileged youth in India. Launched as part of ABF’s outreach, it aims to build life skills and creative expression through structured music education opportunities. [5]
  • SMHI: A joint programme with the Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences (IHBAS) and the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, launched in mid‑2024. It delivered preventive, promotive, and curative mental health services to students in grades 6–12 across 35 government schools. The intervention included classroom‑based sensitisation, school‑based clinics and mobile mental health vans, reaching over 20,600 students and sensitizing more than 500 teachers by early 2025.[6]
  • DITSU: In 2024, the Ananya Birla Foundation partnered with the Government of Punjab to launch the Data Intelligence and Technical Support Unit (DITSU), a first-of-its-kind public-private initiative under the state’s flagship campaign Yudh Nasheyan Virudh (War Against Drugs). Headquartered at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar State Institute of Medical Sciences in Mohali, DITSU serves as a central hub for real-time data analysis, technical insights, and cross-agency coordination to combat drug and substance abuse. The Foundation supports the initiative by aiding in key personnel recruitment, co-developing a digital platform to monitor drug trends, and driving evidence-based reforms. The unit also focuses on prevention, treatment, and enforcement by supporting capacity-building of frontline workers and launching awareness campaigns across educational institutions.[7][8][9][10][11][12][13]
