Can you please add the {{historical}} tag to the top of the page? This page hasn't been updated to include the page views for 2023 and beyond, so unless someone wants to update it, I think it makes sense to do so. Interstellarity (talk) 01:13, 14 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

No. The Top 25 report has been called the Top 25 report for 13 years. It has been cited as such by multiple outside sources. Changing it would produce nothing but confusion, and likely lead to a decrease in viewership. WP:Popular pages is a distinct article with its own coverage and focus. The page hasn't been updated since 2023. If it gets updated again at some point in the future, I might be open to keeping the page intact, but I am hoping that whatever the content of that page is, it is maintained similarly to the Top 25 Report. As the popular pages page lists articles with the most all-time views, and the top 25 report is a weekly snapshot, I feel the two serve sufficiently distinct purposes that "Wikipedia:Popular pages" shouldn't redirect to "Wikipedia:Top 25 Report", nor should "Wikipedia:Top 25 Report" be renamed to "Wikipedia:Popular pages". isaacl (talk) 03:32, 30 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose: Although, Popular pages and Top 25 report is different. Top 25 Report is for reporting and giving commentary about the the weekly most viewed pages in Wikipedia (which I think that's the purpose). ROY is WARTalk!10:39, 30 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Support Pppery's proposal There is no point leaving this at such a major title. At the same time, there is enough longstanding precedent that it wouldn't make much sense to move the Top 25 Report. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 22:57, 7 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
