Shivi - Is this spelling mistake?

[edit]

Team, I see name `Shivi` has been used instead of `Shibi` or `Sibi`. Or is Shivi also one of the names for Shibi king?

Urgent help

[edit]

As you all know Tamil Nadu is 'Land of Temples' and Old Tamil is one of the liturgical language of Hinduism along with Sanskrit. Some anti-hindu and pro-minority people based on Tamil Nadu are constantly vandalising the page List of Temples in Tamil Nadu article. The hinduism template and categories were removed. Now, I added one. Pleas remove all disperencies and request for protextion of that page. The same goes for the article Hinduism in Tamil Nadu.

Suggestion in Project Page

Discussion at Talk:Sati (practice)

[edit]

There is an ongoing discussion (Talk:Sati (practice)#Source misrepresentation in lead) regarding recent changes made to the lead of Sati (practice). The mention of the practice's largely historical nature was removed from the lead sentence, and parts about its history were also removed and altered. I invite interested editors to participate in the discussion. UnpetitproleX (talk) 15:49, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Is Scion of Ikshvaku a reliable source?

[edit]

The article Aja of Kosala is using Scion of Ikshvaku as a source. But it appears that Scion of Ikshvaku is fiction. Kindly look into it.

Kenfyre (talk) 16:01, 26 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Kenfyre Not reliable at all, Scion of Ikshvaku is a mythological-fiction novel (novel inspired by Ramayana, but story is completely created by the author). Generally, scholarly works on Hinduism are considered reliable, including Puranic Encyclopedia by Vettam Mani. In case no secondary source is found, a link to primary text is also accepted, but novels should be removed. Seyamar💬📜 16:15, 26 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
