Notice

The article Vincent Vangeel has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Vincent Vangeel moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Vincent Vangeel, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. In answer to your queries - social media websites, such as Facebook, are not considered acceptable or reliable independent secondary sources. Similarly, organizations where an individual is employed are primary sources, and as such are not considered to be independent or reliable either. The newspaper article which refers to the podcast is acceptable but doesn't establish notability. I hope that helps - happy editing. Dan arndt (talk) 07:17, 22 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Just because other articles have unsourced birth dates doesn't mean that it is acceptable or in accordance with Wikipedia guidelines. The reason we don't use social media as a source is because anyone can post information there without any verification. Wouldn't be the first time someone has lied about their birth date. Dan arndt (talk) 07:53, 22 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The inference is that a professional journalist would check/verify the information, and that would be checked by an editor, before it would be allowed to be published, whereas there are none of those checks and balances on social media. Dan arndt (talk) 09:30, 22 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
