Your submission at Articles for creation: Zeeshan Yousaf (March 10)

[edit]
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Slywriter was:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
The comment the reviewer left was:
does not appear to meet WP:NPROF and insufficient independent secondary coverage. Also, claims such as known for seem to be excessive lists not supported by sourcing
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit when they have been resolved.

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Yousaf313b. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page User:Yousaf313b/sandbox, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. jlwoodwa (talk) 01:17, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Okay I understand you viewpoints. I shall try my best to obey the rules that you described and that are written on the Wikipedia help. My purpose is not to advertise, publicize, or promote Dr. Asma Akram. I would like to present her contribution in the orthopedic surgery in the male dominated society of Pakistan. I noticed that it was very difficult for her to work in a place where all the colleagues, employees and seniors were male. and no one was willing to see her in their orthopedic department. I am sure, such articles (that i wish to end up) will encourage many females to work in every walk of life. Yes, I am trying my best to link the reference to newspapers, etc. Thanks for guiding me. Yours guidance in this regard is highly appreciated. Yousaf313b (talk) 15:02, 31 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your contributions to Asma Akram (Female Orthopedic Surgeon). Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability, it is promotional and reads like an advertisement and you may have a possible Conflict of Interest. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. — Saqib (talk I contribs) 15:14, 20 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reasons left by Saqib were:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Your submission at Articles for creation: Asma Akram (October 17)

[edit]
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reasons left by DoubleGrazing were:
This submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources. Reliable sources are required so that information can be verified. If you need help with referencing, please see Referencing for beginners and Citing sources.
The content of this submission includes material that does not meet Wikipedia's minimum standard for inline citations. Please cite your sources using footnotes. For instructions on how to do this, please see Referencing for beginners. Thank you.
The comment the reviewer left was:
This draft has a number of issues. Let's start with referencing: some of the sources are not acceptable (eg. scans of private documents), and too much of the biographical detail is unreferenced. Please ensure that every material statement is supported by an inline citation to a reliable source, or else removed. (This is in addition to the content being promotional, and evidence of notability being borderline at best, as already mentioned by the previous reviewer.)
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Thank you very much for your guidance and for reviewing my submission. I truly appreciate the importance of maintaining a neutral, non-promotional tone in Wikipedia entries. My intention was to highlight Dr. Asma Akram’s notable contributions as the first Pakistani female orthopedic surgeon to achieve an MS degree. I believe documenting her achievement could inspire other women in the field. I would like to ensure that this information is presented in a factual, objective manner that aligns with Wikipedia's standards. Please feel free to suggest any adjustments to make the content more suitable. Yousaf313b (talk) 09:23, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Firstly, please don't use AI to generate your messages; we want to hear from you, not from some algorithm.
Secondly, you didn't actually answer my query. In your own words, please, what is your relationship with the subject of Draft:Asma Akram?
Thank you. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:37, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I am very sorry for not answering you properly. I tried to improve the English wordings, that's why I used AI. Yes, You are right. I should not use AI. I understood this point. Asma Akram is my Wife. Yes, there is a COI. Can you please put this COI comment so that this article can be improved in a better way. Thanks. Yousaf313b (talk) 09:56, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I personally see and support the efforts of Asma Akram in getting this achievement. I am evident that her contribution will a source of inspiration for women in this field. Yousaf313b (talk) 10:00, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
