- IMDB is an unreliable WP:USERGENERATED source per WP:IMDB - please stop using it as a source in articles. Waxworker (talk) 00:36, 20 August 2025 (UTC)
- Hello,
- Thank you for the correction. I was not aware that IMDB is considered an unreliable user-generated source. I will not use it, or similar sources, in any future edits. Wexay (talk) 04:16, 20 August 2025 (UTC)

Hello, I'm SecretSpectre. An edit that you recently made to Earthing system seemed to be generated using a large language model (an "AI chatbot" or other application using such technology). Text produced by these applications can be unsuitable for an encyclopedia, and output must be carefully checked. Your edit may have been reverted. If you want to practice editing, please use your sandbox. If you think a mistake was made, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Bogus sources warning
[edit]Please exercise care when you add sources to an article. The source must specifically and explicitly support statements made in the sentence or paragraph that they are placed next to, and you must verify this before you add the source to the article. I have checked a few of the sources you have added recently and it is clear to me that you are not doing this. Some of the source additions (e.g. adding a 1966 publication to support an event that only occurred in 1969, or adding links to a non-existent website) could be construed as a subtle form of vandalism. Continued vandalism could result in you being blocked from editing Wikipedia. Pyrope 11:46, 20 August 2025 (UTC)
- Hello Pyrope,
- Thank you for taking the time to review my edits. I tried to add sources that seemed related to the content, but I understand the importance of ensuring they explicitly support the statements they are attached to. If possible, I’d appreciate it if you could point out the specific sources you believe are not appropriate so that I can review them again. If they are indeed not relevant, I will remove those edits. I will also take extra care in future edits to ensure that all sources are fully verified and directly support the content. Wexay (talk) 04:25, 21 August 2025 (UTC)
- Are you using AI to generate writing and/or comments? Gnomingstuff (talk) 13:21, 21 August 2025 (UTC)
- No, I only use AI for reading and translating texts from other languages into English. Wexay (talk) 13:29, 21 August 2025 (UTC)

- Hi Wexay. Wikipedia editing can be a complicated learning process, for sure, particularly if you tackle some of these more technical tasks. I haven't had the time to filter through your entire list of recent additions, but what alerted me to your work were the additions you made at the March 701 article (see this diff). Of those two citations, the Motorsport Magazine one cites an entire issue of the journal, within which I can't find a single mention of the 701, let alone details of who designed it or built it, which are the facts that a citation places at that location would be expected to support. The second source you propose (Csicsery-Rónay) is truly bizarre. It is actually a 1966 article providing biographical details and a discussion of the works of Hungarian poet Gyula Illyés, who won the 1965 Grand Prix of poetry! I'm not sure how you ever thought this would be a suitable source for an article on a car that was designed in 1969 and built in 1970. You need to actually read the content of a proposed source and check that it relates to the subject under discussion; you can't just put random terms into Google (or ChatGPT, or whatever you are using) and dump those onto a Wikipedia page. Please can you go back and check every addition that you have made in the last few days. Pyrope 16:57, 21 August 2025 (UTC)
- I checked the sources again and you’re right. I think maybe the mistake happened because I was editing other Wikipedia articles that were open in different Chrome tabs at the same time. I think I misplaced those sources and they should have been added elsewhere. I usually rely on Google Scholar, Google Books, and Google Search. I will try to be more careful in adding references. I’ll also recheck the edits I’ve made. Wexay (talk) 18:11, 21 August 2025 (UTC)

Abidar fire moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Abidar fire, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Copyright violation warning
[edit] Hello Wexay! Your additions to Economic sanctions have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license—to request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, it's important to understand and adhere to guidelines about using information from sources to prevent copyright and plagiarism issues. Here are the key points:
- Limited quotation: You may only copy or translate a small portion of a source. Any direct quotations must be enclosed in double quotation marks (") and properly cited using an inline citation. More information is available on the non-free content page. To learn how to cite a source, see Help:Referencing for beginners.
- Paraphrasing: Beyond limited quotations, you are required to put all information in your own words. Following the source's wording too closely can lead to copyright issues and is not permitted; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when paraphrasing, you must still cite your sources as appropriate.
- Image use guidelines: In most scenarios, only freely licensed or public domain images may be used and these should be uploaded to our sister project, Wikimedia Commons. In some scenarios, non-freely copyrighted content can be used if they meet all ten of our non-free content criteria; Wikipedia:Plain and simple non-free content guide may help with determining a file's eligibility.
- Copyrighted material donation: If you hold the copyright to the content you want to copy, or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license the text for publication here. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Copying and translation within Wikipedia: Wikipedia articles can be copied or translated, however they must have proper attribution in accordance with Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. For translation, see Help:Translation § Licensing.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices. Persistent failure to comply may result in being blocked from editing. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Pyrope 18:24, 30 September 2025 (UTC)
- Hello, the article I referenced was open access. I think open access journals should not have any problems regarding copyright. Wexay (talk) 12:17, 5 October 2025 (UTC)
- Sadly, this is not true. Firstly, whether or not a journal article is offered on Open Access terms has no intrinsic effect on its copyright status. An author can still retain full copyright while allow downloading from a specific repository. Second, as clearly shown on the document itself, this article has been released on a Creative Commons Attribution-Non-Commercial 4.0 licence. This means that an article is still under copyright, but that portions can be reproduced with proper attribution, but only for non-commercial use. Unfortunately, Wikipedia (and all Wikimedia sites, such as Commons) are counted as commercial entities. Therefore, CC-BY-NC is not an appropriate licence for use here.
