WP:STUBSPACING
[edit]Hi there. Thanks for updating stub sorting of footballers. Are you aware of WP:STUBSPACING which states: "Leave two blank lines between the first stub template and whatever precedes it."? You seem to have been removing one of the two blank linkes across countless articles. Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 18:20, 4 March 2025 (UTC)
- Sorry, that must be AutoWikiBrowser tool, I'll check that going forward. Waacstats (talk) 18:27, 4 March 2025 (UTC)
- Just re-read WP:STUBSPACING and apparently it was updated in December to say there should only be 1 line and to remove the second line when found. Waacstats (talk) 18:29, 4 March 2025 (UTC)
- Good spot. I missed that. Thanks, Robby.is.on (talk) 20:44, 4 March 2025 (UTC)

The article Vitalie Cercheș has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Fails WP:SPORTSCRIT and WP:NOLY.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. LibStar (talk) 13:20, 7 March 2025 (UTC)

I just realized this is belated by a month or so and I know that our paths have never crossed ... but welcome back! Steel1943 (talk) 00:26, 9 March 2025 (UTC) |
Please stop ...
[edit]... adding {{coord}} templates to the bottom of articles that already contain these templates in the body text, as you did in Clear Creek (Shoal Creek tributary) and many other articles. Besides their superfluity, these create situations in which articles contain multiple {{coord}}
templates with title displays, adding the articles to Category:Pages with malformed coordinate tags. (Also, stub tags should be preceded by two blank lines at the bottom of an article.) Deor (talk) 20:12, 18 March 2025 (UTC)
- Apologies for that, I thouight I had caught them, AWB must be playing up. I'll go through and correct any I can find. Regarding the two blank lines per WP:STUBSPACING, which was updated in December, this has now been changed to one line, I have no idea why as I was on an extended wiki break at the time. Waacstats (talk) 20:17, 18 March 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for alerting me to the change in WP:STUBSPACING, which I hadn't noticed. (I wish people would be prominently alerted to changes in guidelines or policies.) And thanks for helping to clean up the articles I pointed out. I've noticed, however, that in some articles the inline coords were deleted and added at the bottom of the page, leaving holes in the article text; and these didn't make it into Category:Pages with malformed coordinate tags. A goat for you!
[edit]Because you are the goat when it comes to adding new stub proposals and leaving feedback on others' requests!

- @OpalYosutebito: thanks for that. You're doing an amazing job yourself. Waacstats (talk) 19:38, 21 March 2025 (UTC)
- You're welcome! If I had any major feedback, it would be to add relevant WikiProjects to whatever stub categories/templates you create. Other than that, great job! - OpalYosutebito (talk) 16:36, 23 March 2025 (UTC)
- Goat seconded!!! Her Pegship (?) 20:18, 6 April 2025 (UTC)

[edit]Great spot, you are indeed right, I was using the same template for athletes and forgot to take off the medal win previously for this athlete, the template does not carry the medal win anymore by the way. Many thanks again ApricotFoot (talk) 13:09, 10 April 2025 (UTC)
Blankings
[edit]When you were using AWB, you blanked Yeongyang County and Yeonyeopsan (North Gyeongsang) without an edit summary. Are you aware of this? ~ Rusty meow ~ 22:50, 28 April 2025 (UTC)
- That was not my intention and not what i was seeing on the screen. I don't know aht happened there, but thankyou for hthe catch. I have been through all of yesterdays edits and I can't see any others where that has happened. Waacstats (talk) 07:29, 29 April 2025 (UTC)

Thank you for sorting all those bio-stubs into more specific stub categories. Dizzying work and much appreciated. jengod (talk) 15:20, 8 May 2025 (UTC) |
Reverted one of your edits
[edit]I'm sure this is not what you meant to do. Did you mean to use that article as a kind of template and create it as a new page, and saved it at the wrong one? That's my best guess. Floquenbeam (talk) 14:57, 12 May 2025 (UTC)
- Although actually it was an AWB run that says "stub sort", so now I have no idea. AWB hiccup? Floquenbeam (talk) 14:58, 12 May 2025 (UTC)
- The same kind of error happened here, here, here and here. (I reverted all four of them.) These five all appeared around the same time. So indeed it seems to be some kind of strange hiccup... --Cyfal (talk) 20:30, 13 May 2025 (UTC)
- Thankyou both, I did not see these happen and will have to do a quick check after each run of some of the edits. Waacstats (talk) 07:51, 14 May 2025 (UTC)
