Draft:IntelBroker not required

[edit]

Several months ago, I created the article IntelBroker, which covers the scope of Draft:IntelBroker. I've noticed that you have edited Draft:IntelBroker several times since the main article's creation. It would be great if you could migrate these contributions to the mainspace article. I do plan to do that. By the way does this mean an article with identical name can be created even if there is a draft? Vacosea (talk) 19:39, 29 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
An article and a draft can coexist, as they technically have a different title (the latter being prepended with 'Draft:'). Also, thank you so much for merging the information, its greatly appreciated. CitrusHemlock 20:40, 29 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Massive POV push and content removals by new user

[edit]

Hi Vacosea! I noticed that the new user User:WinterExiled (edit history) has been making massive POV push and removing contents without explanations recently. I saw you reverted some of his edits earlier, but his behaviors apparently continued in various articles especially those related to Tibet. Please take a look at this. Thanks! --Wengier (talk) 19:48, 13 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks I will take a look. Vacosea (talk) 20:40, 18 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Historical sources are not "legends"

[edit]

Hi Vacosea, I noticed on Thomni Sambhota that you inserted your POV regarding 7+ reputable scholars of Tibet's history (RA Stein, Arpi, Monlam, Chhospel, Yeshe De Projet, Shakabpa, Choephel, others), by inserting the word "legends" at least 3 times to denigrate their contributions to the encyclopedic entry. In English, the word 'legend' implies make-believe, fairy-tale. The works of these respected scholars are not children's fairy-tales. Please review WP:POV and check this unhelpful compulsion. 2400:1A00:B040:9611:1B54:CAF8:3FFB:D72A (talk) 08:59, 26 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. In English, legend means a traditional story or popular account that is not authenticated, not necessarily saying it is false. You can look this up in dictionaries or Google.
The life of Tonmi Sambhoṭa is "largely shrouded in legend", which I quote from a generally pro-Tibetan source [1]. This is consistent with research from the Institut national des langues et civilisations orientales, specifically, "Little is known about the exact origins of Tibetan script. According to tradition, the creation of this writing system is associated with King Songtsen Gampo, who unified Tibet and reigned between 620 and 645 CE. According to other sources, however, writing spread to Tibet via Kashmir and Turkestan" [2]. It is also consistent with other research that states "the legend of Tönmi Sambhota ... It is difficult, if not impossible, to determine whether such a person existed – let alone whether he really did invent a script" [3].
