Hey, this is where you can ask me questions if you want. If you have questions about Wikipedia itself, your best bet might be the Teahouse, but otherwise, just click 'New Section', sign your name with those quadruple tildes ('~~~~'), and I'll get back to you when I can. It helps if you ping me. If you don't know how to do this, just copy and paste {{ping|TheTechnician27}}, {{re|TheTechnician27}}, or {{u|TheTechnician27}} before your message.
TFA nomination
[edit]On your TFA nom of the paddle, crab, I've posted the nom to the requests page, and supported. So you won't be blind sided, see Wikipedia:Today's featured article/requests/pending, there's another request, for a pop song, for Dec 3. Which nom will get selected for Dec 3, I don't know and have no control over. MisawaSakura (talk) 13:48, 6 October 2025 (UTC)
- @MisawaSakura: I've been tracking TFA waiting for that date to open up, and it meant a lot the other day to wake up and see this notification from you. It looks at a glance like PSA and Danny-w did a fantastic job on Big Boys (song), so regardless of which article gets the slot, I'm really happy a recent nom is showing up on the front page. If Ovalipes catharus doesn't get in on December 3rd, I heavily trust Prosperosity as an expert to select a meaningful alternative date. TheTechnician27 (Talk page) 01:29, 9 October 2025 (UTC)
- I'll link the nom to this discussion. MisawaSakura (talk) 01:57, 9 October 2025 (UTC)

... for the barnstar for today's story about Gott der Herr ist Sonn und Schild, BWV 79, on the occasion for which it was written, Reformation Day - it's not only Halloween today. You are invited to the peer reviews for another candidate. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:02, 31 October 2025 (UTC)
Would you be interested to look at TI-84 Plus series again?
[edit]You reviewed for GA status, and failed, the article TI-84 Plus series. All the issues you mentioned - and quite a bit more - have been fixed since then (they were bits of the old article which I had not rewritten yet). Since you seemed originally interested in reviewing it, would you attempt a second review? - OmegaAOL (talk page, and contribs) 01:37, 1 November 2025 (UTC)
- I could tell you at a glance that it's likely C-class close to B-class or GA-class (hard to immediately tell which without research). The article cites other wikis three times, and Wikipedia does not cite such user-generated content as a reliable source (fails B-class and GA-class criterion 1 for reliable sources). I think you're doing a good job and headed in the right direction with the article at a glance, and I'd be happy to come in and try cleaning up small, stylistic issues before the review starts, as even that kind of cleanup often reveals deeper problems if they exist. TheTechnician27 (Talk page) 13:14, 1 November 2025 (UTC)
- Hi and thanks for the comment! The article currently cites no user-generated sources, can you give me an example of what you think is WP:UGC?
- WikiTI is the wiki cited, but although it uses MediaWiki (like Wikipedia) it works a bit differently to Wikipedia in that not anyone can just contribute. OmegaAOLtalk? 07:43, 3 November 2025 (UTC)
- Removed the WikiTI citation. Now that there is no UGC, I am reupgrading the article to B-Class. OmegaAOLtalk? 14:15, 3 November 2025 (UTC)
