Military aircraft engines
[edit]Hi Suro1234, I was wondering if you got my message about the Military aircraft engines list that you suggested and we started drafting in my User space. Turns out, a pretty extensive alphabetical list article already exists called "List of aircraft engines". From it's Revision History, it seems that list has been around since Dec 2003 (lots of work over the years). What do you think? Should we stop creating a new page focused on aircraft engines specifically used by the US Military, or do you still think it would be more useful than that existing list? — TadgStirkland401(TadgTalk-Email) 15:08, 19 August 2025 (UTC)
- I'll take a look but it does seem like pretty extensive, it may still be useful to compile a list specifically of aircraft engines used by the us military. Suro1234 (talk) 19:17, 19 August 2025 (UTC)
- Did you have a chance to look at the list article I started in my user space? I’d like to hear your feedback. — TadgStirkland401(TadgTalk-Email) 01:26, 21 August 2025 (UTC)
- Hi Suro... I thought I'd check back to see if you've had time to think about it. If you don't think it's worth the effort to put an article together, let me know and I'll have it deleted from my userspace. Give me a shout... — TadgStirkland401(TadgTalk-Email) 01:56, 28 August 2025 (UTC)
- I did take a took, I think we should continue with it as it would be a useful resource and a lot more convenient than searching through the entire list of all aircraft engines to ever exist, lmk what I can do to help Suro1234 (talk) 17:25, 28 August 2025 (UTC)
- Excellent. As far as help, data gathering and locating reliable sources would be a great help. I’ve noticed most aircraft Wikiarticles mention engines used. Compiling all of that would be great. I can then focus on shaping the list appropriately. One last thing; any source that describes military standard engine nomenclature, I’d appreciate it. Go to that page on my user space and add whatever you find to the talk page, User talk:TadgStirkland401/Military aircraft engines. That will make it easy on both of us. — TadgStirkland401(TadgTalk-Email) 23:17, 28 August 2025 (UTC)
- Hi again. It’s been a couple weeks, so I thought I’d check in to see if you’ve had a chance to get any research done. You still workin’ on it? — TadgStirkland401(TadgTalk-Email) 02:35, 23 September 2025 (UTC)
- ive been busy with school work but ill see if i can get some this week Suro1234 (talk) 17:41, 23 September 2025 (UTC)
