User talk:Suria Ross

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Pythoncoder was:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of music-related topics). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Sanguine Public Relations, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was Draft:DC SNIPER (Recording Artist), which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, which will be reviewed by other editors. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, visit the Teahouse, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! A tag has been placed on Draft:DC SNIPER (Recording Artist), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. What can I do to prevent the speedy deletion? Sanguine Public Relations (talk) 23:31, 23 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
1. Ensure that your draft follows WP:NPOV and associated policies related to the tone of articles we have on Wikipedia.
2. Ensure your article is entirely verifiable and that your subject is notable.
3. Declare any conflicts of interest, if applicable.
Does your username represent a PR firm? @Sanguine Public Relations Staraction (talk | contribs) 23:34, 23 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
My name is Suria Ross, I’m a writer and I also own a boutique independent firm. I made sure to share that information by making the name of my firm my username here. I do not get paid to edit. Sanguine Public Relations (talk) 23:49, 23 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Question/Comment for @Sanguine Public Relations:
  1. Do you/your firm represent recording artist DC SNIPER?
  2. With respect to your username (See below): Using your company name violates Wikipedia's username policy. — ERcheck (talk) 01:48, 24 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I just submitted a username change and it was just approved. Thanks! Suria Ross (talk) 02:22, 24 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

additional references needed for Draft:DC SNIPER (Recording Artist)

[edit]

Draft:DC SNIPER (Recording Artist) needs additional references from reliable sources, or it is unlikely to be published. Eastmain (talkcontribs) 00:45, 24 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I will make sure to take care of this as soon as possible, thank you! Sanguine Public Relations (talk) 01:42, 24 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Please remind DC Sniper that he should consider registering the copyright on his single and album with the United States Copyright Office. This will not imrpove the chances of getting an article in Wikipedia, but it may be helpful if a dispute arises over the ownership of his music. See https://copyright.gov Eastmain (talkcontribs) 00:45, 24 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I will pass this message along, thank you so much! Sanguine Public Relations (talk) 01:42, 24 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Sanguine Public Relations", does not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, service, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Foobar Museum of Art". However, you are permitted to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you individually (not your role), such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87", but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company".

Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, service, or website, regardless of your username. Please also read our paid editing policy and our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please request a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, choosing a username that complies with our username policy. Alternatively, you can just create a new account and use that for editing. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. — ERcheck (talk) 01:26, 24 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Sanguine Public Relations - Please answer the question above about your firm's representation. Also, please make sure you read the policy related to Conflict of interest and comply as appropriate. — ERcheck (talk) 01:59, 24 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I read the information sent to me by another user about COI and I have addressed it, I have never been paid to edit. Suria Ross (talk) 02:24, 24 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Suria Ross - If you are the owner of a PR firm and create an article/draft and/or edit on any such for a client, that is considered a conflict of interest (COI) and would be considered "paid" editing. You are required to declare your COIs. See "How to disclose a COI". — ERcheck (talk) 03:19, 24 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
My page was deleted and I already declared there is no COI since it’s not paid editing. Suria Ross (talk) 18:21, 24 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
