If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must follow all these steps:
- Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
- Provide a new username.
To do this, insert the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.
Before requesting a new username, check if it is still available. If the search says "There is no global account for [username]", the username is free to use.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the edit. Orange Mike | Talk 17:14, 21 November 2025 (UTC)unblock-spamun

I want to clarify that I am not being paid or compensated for any contributions. I will make a full paid-contribution disclosure here: I am not receiving any compensation of any kind.
I now understand the reasons for my block and I assure you that I will not repeat promotional edits. My intention is to contribute neutrally, following Wikipedia’s content policies, especially the guidelines on notability, reliable sourcing, and conflict of interest.
If unblocked, I plan to make constructive, policy-compliant edits, mainly related to improving structure, grammar, formatting, and adding reliable secondary sources—without promotional tone.
I would like to request a username change to: StarEditor92. Thank you for your time and consideration.

- Hello, thank you for your response. Our team is new to this platform and we are still learning about its rules.
- I hope you will lift the ban because we sincerely want to support our favorite group and its members by creating their own Wikipedia pages, given the global importance of this platform. English is not my native language, but I am trying to help them create their pages. From now on, I will learn more about the platform's rules and will try not to post anything that might seem promotional. However, I need help with how to create and edit pages on this platform. Please provide me with some good links. Thank you. IVECHARTSACCOUNT (talk) 17:35, 21 November 2025 (UTC)

- Okay, thank you. When you are looking to create a Wikipedia article, it is important to avoid trying to promote the subject; Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and articles must meet our requirements for a neutral point of view. It's also important to not write an article first and then try and find sources; Wikipedia is simply a culmination of what is already written about the subjects of its articles and not a space for original research. If your appeal is successful you will want to read this helpful essay and submit any articles you may write to WP:AFC where they can be reviewed by experienced users.
- I will rename your account; @Orangemike, your thoughts on unblocking? CoconutOctopus talk 19:34, 21 November 2025 (UTC)
- @StarEditor92: To be clear, Wikipedia accounts are for one person and one person only, for life. You can never share access to an account for any reason, at any time. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 21:17, 21 November 2025 (UTC)

Frankly, the user name (while not acceptable) is only secondary as a problem. The big problem is that this editor admits that they are not only operating as a s.p.a. for unacceptable purposes of promotion, but are coordinating on other platforms with (un-named) other accounts, to further their goal of promotion of their fave. I am inclined to reject their request for unblock, and to suggest close monitoring of the article(s) they are obsessed with. --Orange Mike | Talk 04:32, 22 November 2025 (UTC)

- Hi there, it's perfectly fine to edit about topics you're enthusiastic about, and you haven't broken any rules, so we'll be able to unblock you. But I'm worried that if I do that, you will go break one of our rules basically immediately. Can you please read WP:CANVASS and summarize what it says in your own words? Thank you. -- asilvering (talk) 05:53, 24 November 2025 (UTC)
- The term "canvasing" is new to me, and after reading the article, it became clear to me the importance of neutrality and avoiding excessive comments or arguments on this platform. After the ban is lifted, I will strive to contribute to this platform in a way that enriches both myself and others. Thank you for clarifying this for me, and I will be more careful from now on. StarEditor92 (talk) 06:50, 24 November 2025 (UTC)
- In particular, you will get into a lot of trouble if you try to co-ordinate editing about this band somewhere other than Wikipedia. It's perfectly ok to encourage people to come to Wikipedia and edit about the topic, but make sure you're not encouraging them to do anything in specific (eg, something like "come help, someone is vandalising the page!" or "please join in this discussion on the article talk page"). Discuss your editing on the article talk page instead, and this will help you avoid a lot of possible problems.
- @Orangemike, I acknowledge your opinion, but it's fine for someone to edit about a band they like. That's how most of our coverage is written - by people interested in the topics. So I'll be unblocking. @StarEditor92, I hope you like it here, and sorry you got off to a rough start. Please ask for help at WP:TEA if you run into any problems or confusion. -- asilvering (talk) 02:00, 26 November 2025 (UTC)
- Also, you were reminded above, but I want to remind you again: please avoid using LLMs on Wikipedia. They can create a lot of problems. It's better just to use your own English, even if you think you're not very good at it. Lots of editors here aren't native speakers. (Many of them learn English really quickly because of their participation in English Wikipedia!) In general, English speakers and especially Wikipedians find LLM output insincere, and they won't trust you if you use AI/LLMs/translation software. They might even think you're being rude. WP:LLM has more information. -- asilvering (talk) 02:03, 26 November 2025 (UTC)

Links to draft articles
[edit]
Please do not introduce links to draft articles in actual articles, as you did to Ive (group). Since a draft is not yet ready for the main article space, it is not in shape for ordinary readers, and links from articles should not go to a draft. Such links are contrary to the Manual of Style. These links have been removed. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 11:49, 28 November 2025 (UTC)

Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to Gaeul (singer), did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Paper9oll (🔔 • 📝) 14:50, 20 December 2025 (UTC)
- Hello, thank you for your note and for taking the time to review my edits. I just wanted to clarify that the addition I made to Gaeul’s page followed the same pattern I used for the other members’ pages Jang Won-young
- Liz (South Korean singer) , particularly in the "Television shows" section.
- I did this to keep the information consistent and enriched across all pages in line with the general style of the encyclopedia.
- If there is a specific aspect of my edit that made it unhelpful or contrary to policy, I would really appreciate it if you could explain it in more detail so I can understand and avoid similar issues in the future. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. StarEditor92 (talk) 16:16, 20 December 2025 (UTC)
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Jang Won-young. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively, you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. — Paper9oll (🔔 • 📝) 16:36, 20 December 2025 (UTC)
- Hello, thank you for your feedback and for reviewing my edit on the Jang Won-young page. I would appreciate clarification on the specific issue with my addition to the "Television shows" section, as I followed the exact same format and structure used across other IVE members' pages, including Gaeul's, to maintain consistency.
- The section about television shows is outdated and it is not updated until 2025. Since it's a page for a living person, I thought it important to enrich it. I read the rules but still don't understand how it's disruptive or unconstructive.
- Could you please point out what made this particular edit disruptive or unconstructive, such as lack of sources, formatting problems, or undue weight, so I can understand and improve future contributions in line with Wikipedia guidelines?
- I am committed to constructive editing and happy to discuss this further on the article talk page or provide sources if needed. Thank you for your guidance. StarEditor92 (talk) 17:31, 20 December 2025 (UTC)
- @StarEditor92 You were clearly informed that guesting is not allowed per the consensus at WT:KO. This is a community consensus. By ignoring this per WP:IDHT, you are editing disruptively. Additionally, whether you provided one or multiple reliable sources is irrelevant here. — Paper9oll (🔔 • 📝) 17:54, 20 December 2025 (UTC)
- I understand now. It wasn't clear to me at first. Thank you for explaining, and I will be more careful in the future. StarEditor92 (talk) 17:58, 20 December 2025 (UTC)
