Soliloquy!
[edit]Hello Smerus,
While working on the article Soliloquy recently, I happened to notice that back in 2006—nearly 20 years ago!—you had suggested merging it with Monologue. I believe the two did end up being merged at one point, though they were later separated again.
I just thought it was neat to come across your comment from so long ago and then see that you are still active today. As part of the Core Contest, I recently rewrote the Soliloquy article from the ground up—given its status as a level-5 vital article—and it is now at good article nomination. I thought you might appreciate the connection, having been involved in the article’s earlier history.
All the best,

October music

Thank you for your contributions to Carl Nielsen, remembered on the main page! My story on the Germany National holiday is a song calling to trust the new ways, written shortly before the events leading to reunification. I saw a lovely Mozart opera production yesterday, in case of interest. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:03, 3 October 2025 (UTC)
- If you are in London in November don't miss our 'Poppea' - www.hgo.org.uk/poppea Smerus (talk) 15:46, 4 October 2025 (UTC)
- Sounds good but November is already busy, my first trip to La Scala, imagine! I saw Poppea last - and impressively done - at the Berlin State Opera when it reopened. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 16:02, 4 October 2025 (UTC)
- Poppea: I noticed that it looks like the singers get a chance to explore different roles - great idea! - A completely different opera than Mozart today, - there are youtubes of all three acts of the 100-year-old opera with a young Abbado. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:25, 4 October 2025 (UTC)

November music
[edit]| story · music · places |

I have three biographies on the main page today, in memory, miss a fourth one, nominated a fifth, that means little time for other matters. My places now include La Scala, - see music, Verdi three times, and twice in my story! - I came, though, because of the day before, made especially for you. He was one of the conductors who inspired me. -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 17:21, 18 November 2025 (UTC)
