If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on ReaderWorld NPC requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. The Northern Sotho language Wikipedia article here is, as far as I can see, pretty much the same as the en.wp article: it appears to be pretty much a book club - no doubt a most admirable undertaking, and I'm sure that everyone here wishes it all the best - but one that appears in no way to meet WP:NORG. For reference, if you translate a nso.wp article to the English language Wikipedia, it should also include of its "talk page" an attribution for the translation, in this case, {{translated|nso|ReaderWorld NPC}}. Please do let me know if I can assist you with this, or anything else related to the English language Wikipedia. Peter in Australia aka Shirt58 (talk) 🦘 09:58, 12 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Good day, Peter.
I hope that you're having a wonderful day.
I'm a librarian in a public library. I have organised an information literacy session, as a programme, for tomorrow. I will be training people on editing on Wikipedia and this article I "published" is part of my preparation for my practical demonstration. Knowing that it would get deleted, for a number of reasons, I wanted to show everyone that writing a good article isn't enough, you also need to cite what you're saying and it has to be about a notable subject, place or person.
Both articles, in English and Northern Sotho, should be deleted. It's part of my training session for tomorrow.
Regards,
Payc Slippery slope302 (talk) 10:12, 12 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Richard Lukunku, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ashes to Ashes. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 07:55, 22 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:Mapulana indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 18:45, 29 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I think you may need to go and read WP:OLINK. This is an important part of the Manual of Style and asks us not to add links to the same subject multiple times. It doesn't mean only ever linking to one page a single time in a long article, but, for example, with these two edits you linked to Test cricket five times in the same paragraph! As a heads up as well, you were linking to South Africa rather than South Africa national cricket team as well with those edits. That's the wrong link in these cases – they were OLINKs as well, but it's worth thinking about what you're linking to. Hope that all helps Blue Square Thing (talk) 16:25, 8 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Penny Lebyane requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G15 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it exhibits one or more of the following signs which indicate that the page could only plausibly have been generated by large language models (an "AI chatbot" or other application using such technology) and would have been removed by any reasonable human review:

  • Communication intended for the user: This may include collaborative communication (e.g., "Here is your Wikipedia article on..."), knowledge-cutoff disclaimers (e.g., "Up to my last training update ..."), self-insertion (e.g., "as a large language model"), and phrasal templates (e.g., "Smith was born on [Birth Date].")
  • Implausible non-existent references: This may include external links that are dead on arrival, ISBNs with invalid checksums, and unresolvable DOIs. Since humans can make typos and links may suffer from link rot, a single example should not be considered definitive. Editors should use additional methods to verify whether a reference truly does not exist.
  • Nonsensical citations: This may include citations of incorrect temporality (e.g a source from 2020 being cited for a 2022 event), DOIs that resolve to completely unrelated content (e.g., a paper on a beetle species being cited for a computer science article), and citations that attribute the wrong author or publication.

Text produced by these applications can be unsuitable for an encyclopedia, and output must be carefully checked. Pages created using them that did not undergo human review may be deleted at any time.

If you think these signs were incorrectly identified and you assert that you did carefully check the content, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Additionally – if you would like to create an article but find creating new encyclopedia content yourself difficult, please share this with other editors at the Teahouse, and they may be able to help. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your legitimate contributions. Onel5969 TT me 09:58, 27 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
