Lola young - this wasn't meant for you anyway

[edit]

Hi, would you be interested in creating a wikipedia page for this album? It charted at 180 on billboard-200 as well. KARANSUTTA (talk) 14:59, 25 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I don't know much about Lola Young. Skyversay (talk) 05:00, 26 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The Band

[edit]

@PerKamm on what album? I don't know what you're talking about. Skyversay (talk) 02:38, 27 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Genres

[edit]

Hello - you have left a note on my talk page stating that genres need to be sourced for all the Eurovision 2025 songs - I'm curious where I would source it (eurovision.tv? The broadcaster if they mention it?) from.

Thank you! ButI'llBeThereNextTime (talk) 21:02, 21 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@ButI'llBeThereNextTime: I don't know where to find genres for Eurovision songs, but genres should be sourced before being added. Skyversay (talk) 04:48, 25 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

BBC

[edit]

Hello mate, I see you have reverted one of my edits on "Nokia" by Drake with an edit summary that reads "Is there not consensus on Wikipedia that being added to a BBC playlist is not necessarily evidence of a single release or official radio impact date?" could you please point me in that discussion's direction? dxneo (talk) 22:50, 22 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Dxneo Sorry, but I don't know where it took place. However, I have seen User:Lil-unique1 refer to BBC playlisting not necessarily being evidence of a single release, so they might know. As for "Nokia", though, I think at this point it must have been serviced to US rhythmic and pop radio at some point as it's charting on both charts. If a radio add date could be found for the US, I would have no issue with that. For the record, I didn't know who added the BBC date to the "Nokia" article. Skyversay (talk) 04:54, 23 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Well, it looks like a radio date since they also announce new adds, but I do not think it's reliable since there was a time when they just said "tacks from GNX". I managed to find a radio date for "Nokia" on HitsDD, but only for the pop 40 (contemporary hit radio). I was wondering if you know how nagivate allaccess.com, because I can't find any rhythmic crossover date anywhere, but the song charted on the rhythmic chart. dxneo (talk) 17:18, 23 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
In the UK, radio doesn't work like the US. It doesn't count towards charting, we don't have an official airplay chart. BBC radio is a public sector broadcaster. Being added to their playlist is a commercial decision they make from their editors, it's not a radio add date. That's why in anyone one release week, not all songs will be added to BBC radio. For example, Radio 1's target audience is ages 13-22, so that's why almost all of Kylie Minogue, Jennifer Lopez and Madonna's last releases over the past few years were not playlisted. The playlist effectively determines how many times you're likely to hear the song on the BBC, if editors add it on, it's played more often. But it's not like the US - as there's no official airplay chat, labels don't service songs. In the US, labels specifically send the song to radio, and there's platforms /radio panels that do this. In the UK, it's literally made available via a database and it's upto radios if you play it. All of this was previously discussed and agreed previous here >> Lil-unique1 (talk)22:16, 23 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited New Morning, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Mr. Bojangles. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

I have sent you a note about a page you started

Hi Skyversay. Thank you for your work on Undressed (Sombr song). Another editor, North8000, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:

IMO an edge case regarding wp:notability but I'm marking as reviewed. Needs sources which cover the topic of the article in depth. Right now they are just a collection of factoids. Maybe better to merge with the artist article, but either way, happy editing!

To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|North8000}}. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)

Charts and dates

[edit]

Hello mate, thank you so much for working on the charts. It really isn't an easy task. On your recent edit on "Show Me Love", you removed the {{single chart}} and replaced it with a URL rather than changing the week and position, why?
And you also changed some of the dates to mdy, when the pages set to automatically convert dates to dmy since Wiz is South African, why did you change the format? dxneo (talk) 16:26, 6 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Dxneo: The Danish chart has updated on hitlisten.nu; it has not updated at danishcharts.dk, which the single chart template link points to. I changed the date format in the title parameter only, because Billboard's website uses mdy at the top of the chart page—"Week of May 10, 2025". It does not use dmy there. Dmy date format consistency only applies to date= parameters and prose. Skyversay (talk) 16:52, 6 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
On this revision, the Danish charts use this site. The template has been updated some time ago, it's okay now. dxneo (talk) 17:02, 6 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Tohji

[edit]

Hey, would you have any chance to help me with editing Tohji's page please? he collaborated with Yeule and just did a sold-out arena show in Japan too. thank you :) Evaaaaaleung (talk) 10:47, 16 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Evaaaaaleung: I have no idea who that is, sorry. Skyversay (talk) 16:07, 8 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Good Charlotte questions

[edit]

Hi I am the one that added the album sales for the album. If you look on History in discography you see it on july 27th only I was not logged in. I dont know how to add sources and thought someone would see it or get notified (I did not know if anyone "controlled" pages etc. For example GC's mainpage is locked for editing so I thought maybe the person in charge of that did. Anyway, the source was Hits Daily Double as you can see in my text. Do you know how to get archived pages on the internet? Since that link cant be used since it goes away when the new album gets released. Then it could be added. Madsgismerica (talk) 14:55, 17 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Madsgismerica: Hits Daily Double does not have access to actual album sales. It only estimates, so therefore we should not use it. Only Billboard provides the official final album sales from Luminate. Skyversay (talk) 15:02, 17 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Ok I just saw it had been used on another bands page, but that's fine.
I see there have been an update on Rejects charting in Australia.
The same goes for USA. It peaked so far with the latest Billboard update on #18 on "Billboard Alternativ Airplay". That is a chart that's being used on many artists that if it does not chart on the list on the page. Madsgismerica (talk) 15:11, 17 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Motel Du Cap US charts

[edit]

Hey again, Good Charlotte's new album didn't chart on Billboard 200 but these; Top Current Album Sales: 27 Top Album Sales: 43

Just change the list and you find it here: Good Charlotte | Biography, Music & News | Billboard

I haven't learned how to add links yet so could you please do it? Madsgismerica (talk) 11:12, 19 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi

[edit]

Hi, Ss112, is that you? Max24 (talk) 08:20, 20 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like to be able to tell you so, but alas... I understand we share the same topic area (it appears I took over some charts he updated) and maybe even a temperament, though. Skyversay (talk) 12:17, 20 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Cool, have a nice day :) Max24 (talk) 12:47, 20 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
