Plant-based cat food

I am reading over the deletion discussion [1]. There was 9 keep votes, 7 redirect votes and 4 delete votes. The article has been redirected. There were 9 keep votes so this doesn't make much sense to me! Veg Historian (talk) 17:54, 7 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, the reason provided is also weird with the addition that "!Votes such as "Delete or do a full rewrite" are essentially asserting that the topic is notable, but the prose needs to be rewritten, and as such, are effectively calls to Keep the page." Disappointing in any case. especially seeing others work on the page too to make it better.
Thinking about this most generously, I can see there wasn't a strong consensus for keep, with many delete votes. And redirect, with the option to split off again is a bit of a compromise position. With this topic, it was always going to depend on the admin in charge, and this one was not favourable to to policies mentioned in favour of keep it seems.
I'll focus a bit more on the veganism page and then head over to cat food to fix the issues that has. Perhaps by adding enough, someone will suggest it is too much and a WP:SPINOUT can be discussed. Sklabb (talk) 19:03, 7 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by QuicoleJR was:
This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies.
The comment the reviewer left was:
Notability is debatable per WP:NCORP, but either way this draft is too promotionally worded to become an article.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.
