Governor General's Literary Awards

Dear SimonP, thanks for initiating Wikipedia's numerous entries about Canada's Governor General's Literary Awards. If this is a topic you are still interested in pursuing, you might like to have a look at a series of articles that a colleague and I have published in the peer-reviewed academic journal, _Papers of the Bibliographical Society of Canada_. In these articles (http://unit8.ok.ubc.ca/__shared/assets/2014irvineggawards48741.pdf) we have done our best to correct the numerous errors contained in the original list of Governor General's Award winners released by the Canada Council. Matthew Brown (Morven)

Hello Simon. Good to see you still around. I am not sure if you read The Signpost regularly, but I noticed (sadly) the obituary for Matthew Brown (Morven) who died last year (he has not been active since 2009 so the news took time to reach Wikipedia). Not sure how well you knew him (you served together on ArbCom) but I have posted a courtesy notice here and thought you would want to know. Proposed deletion of Automatic vehicle tracking

The article Automatic vehicle tracking has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Tagged as Unreferenced for 11 years. Someone tried to slip in a dead link. No other language has an article from which to translate. Proposed policies and laws are almost never notable and are subject to WP:CRYSTAL.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
