Dallas Brodie
[edit]Hello RedactedSagan,
Please do not remove properly cited and contextual information from articles without providing an explanation in the edit summary or offering a reliable counter-source. Unexplained removals of sourced content may be considered disruptive editing. If you disagree with the material, please discuss it on the article’s talk page instead. TimeToFixThis | 🕒 00:55, 7 October 2025 (UTC)
- I did put an explanation on the talk page. But thanks for reaching out. RedactedSagan (talk) 02:30, 7 October 2025 (UTC)
- Hello User:RedactedSagan,
Stop removing properly cited and contextual information from the article. This content has reliable sourcing and has already been discussed. Continued removal without consensus is considered an edit war, which is against Wikipedia policy WP:Editwarring. If you continue to make these changes without discussion, I will have no choice but to involve an administrator, which could result in a block or ban. Please take any disagreements to this talk page so we can work toward consensus. Thank you. TimeToFixThis | 🕒 05:03, 7 October 2025 (UTC)
- Then engage with me on the talk page. I put the rationale for why this line is not relevant or at the very least provides insufficient context. Something can be both accurate and cherry picked. The relevant context on this page is the statements and controversy around Dallas Brodie, not a full accounting of the complexities of estimating the death toll of residential schools. Adding one line to support Brodie without other context violates the article's neutrality. So please, let's hash this out on the talk page. Where I will note concerns about the article's neutrality started before my edit. RedactedSagan (talk) 13:54, 7 October 2025 (UTC)
- It is also pretty aggressive to start an edit war and then post this directly on my talk page. The WP that you linked to specifically talked about this behaviour. It's also disappointing to see this done in service of residential school denialism. RedactedSagan (talk) 21:29, 7 October 2025 (UTC)

ANI-notice
[edit]
There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. The thread is Edit warring and possible sockpuppetry by User:RedactedSagan. TimeToFixThis | 🕒 08:23, 13 October 2025 (UTC)
- In the future, please just talk to people that you have a disagreement with. There was no reason to escalate this to the ANI. Now that you are engaging on Dallas Brodie's talk page, we can have a discussion about how to best represent a sensitive topic. This is how disagreements should be handled. Treat people with respect when they are trying to engage in a discussion. RedactedSagan (talk) 17:40, 14 October 2025 (UTC)
