Request reason:

From reviewing the recent activity in response to my edits, it seems that I was blocked for removing references to the ReFormers Caucus of Issue One from the pages of former members of Congress. I apologize for not properly explaining why I was removing the contributions. I was removing edits that seemed as though they were made by a user specifically to promote a single organization and that did not add useful content to the pages, because politicians' pages would be cluttered with irrelevant content if every single board that they were a member of was listed on their page. I will cease from doing this and apologize for it.

Accept reason:

Thank you, you are unblocked. ~Anachronist (talk) 19:36, 9 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, so what will you do instead? 331dot (talk) 16:32, 9 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I certainly won't make those specific edits again. And to the extent that I feel that rules are being violated -- to promote specific entities or in any other way -- and I make an edit to reflect that, I will flag the rule violation that I believe is at issue and properly document the edit. I have no interest in doing anything that causes damage to the Wikipedia community and I sincerely regret that the manner in which I undertook these edits caused that effect. I'm inclined to unblock here - this entire thing seems to have been an issue of poor communication - if you had used a edit summary explaining the above you likely wouldn't have been blocked in the first place. * Pppery * it has begun... 17:36, 9 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2026 Maine gubernatorial election, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Troy Jackson. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 07:53, 17 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Bot?

[edit]

Hi, you created 18 mainspace pages in 3 minutes. Did you develop a bot? Sourcing and content seems fine I'm just curious where it came from. Scaledish! Talkish? Statish. 02:03, 30 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

No, I wrote them each separately and published them at the same time so that I could cross-check them for formatting errors and so that the ElectionsMI template could be updated in one edit. Sorry for any confusion! PA Uploader (talk) 03:50, 30 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I have sent you a note about a page you started

Citations

[edit]

Please make sure to include Newspapers.com in the citations that use their clippings, per guidance at WP:Newspapers.com. Newspaper locations should also be omitted if the newspaper's name already includes the name of the city (such as The Everett Herald) per the instructions at Template:cite news. SounderBruce 02:04, 1 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the reminder; I'll do that going forward. My apologies for the error. PA Uploader (talk) 02:34, 1 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Just make sure to not include a link to Newspapers.com in non-Newspapers.com citations, as was done at 2007 Snohomish County Executive election. SounderBruce 03:31, 1 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

We already have these categories, both for the state of Washington and the city of Washington, DC. Liz Read! Talk! 18:56, 2 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, that must have been a mistake on my part. You're quite right. PA Uploader (talk) 19:28, 2 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
