Hey, thanks for the message.
Please could you let me know what can be improved so I can not make this mistake further?
Thanks! Magwitch49 (talk) 20:58, 1 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi there! It appears one of your edits as fine, however this edit to Adult education in the United Kingdom did not appear to be constructive at first glance. Unsure if it was an editing test, and at first glance I mistook it as disruptive. I've restored part of this as it was reverted incorrectly on my part, so I do apologise for that. – {{u|hekatlys}} WOOF 18:42, 2 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
No problem at all! Thank you for letting me know :) Magwitch49 (talk) 04:39, 3 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

List of Rheiformes by population article

[edit]

Hey there, thank you for your contributions to my new page, List of Rheiformes by population. I noticed that you put in a new population table, which replaced the one I'd made with the same cited IUCN Assessments. As far as I can tell, these Assessments do not list the populations now listed in the table. Could you please let me know where you found the cited population estimates?

Thanks very much! DuckWrangler97 (talk) 16:57, 22 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Thank you for the catch. I was drawing from the broader scientific ranges often cited in secondary conservation literature (like BirdLife International data), but I see your point that the specific IUCN Red List entries for 2022/2024 have more conservative or 'Unknown' fields for the total population.
I’ll go back in and update the table to match the exact 'Mature Individuals' count listed on the IUCN Red List to ensure the citations are 1:1. I'll also add a 'Notes' column to explain that total population estimates (including juveniles) are often higher in wider ecological studies. Thanks for helping keep the page accurate! Magwitch49 (talk) 16:58, 22 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds good, thank you! FYI, that page is a child page of a larger "List of birds by population" set. If possible, I'd like to keep the template of the table consistent with the rest of these lists if possible. DuckWrangler97 (talk) 17:00, 22 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hey there, after reviewing the edits, I think they go against what the page is supposed to be, which is just a compilation of IUCN resources in a standard format displaying species populations only. I appreciate the added information, but it is better suited for the general order (i.e., Rheiformes) page. I am going to revert to the original structure to keep the formatting in line with the broader set of population articles.
More than happy to discuss further if you think the changes are adding anything the general order page misses. DuckWrangler97 (talk) 18:45, 22 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I'm happy to see that you're so excited about improving articles here on Wikipedia. Many of your edits are very ambitious and have been called in to question or reverted. This isn't to discourage you, but to let you know that we have a way of doing things to ensure the information made available to readers is accurate and well sourced. Some articles' subjects may have different definitions of notability and may warrant inclusion in the encyclopedia even though at a glance it might not look like it.
I would encourage you to take some time to familiarize yourself with some of Wikipedia's policies and best practices. The template I added has some of the big ones to help you get started. Se7enNationArmy2024 (talk) 17:12, 22 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Question on Serenissima

[edit]

Hi there, I just want to ask how you expanded Serenissima's article so fast? Lucky102 (talk) 17:05, 22 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I am also concerned about the speed of edits by this user on List of Rheiformes by population. Several citations added were using broken links to old articles, and I can't verify all the information. DuckWrangler97 (talk) 18:43, 22 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

December 2025

[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to Zuni Microsite when you modified the page, you introduced unknown parameters. Just because you specify |some_param=some_variable does not always mean that variable will display. The |some_param= must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. Note I have likely fixed the error by now so check the history of the page to see how it was fixed. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. Thank you. Zuni Microsite moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Zuni Microsite. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing as a live article at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and Ths is too sparsely referenced to be even a stub. I have converted it to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. 🇵🇸‍🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦‍🇵🇸 19:05, 22 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Zuni Microsite?

[edit]

Firstly, great work on Blackwater Sandhills Natural Area Preserve. I noticed you claimed the preserve is a part of the "Zuni Microsite", as well as linking it to the relevant (currently deleted) draft. However, this claim was not referenced, and there seems to be no material online of this "Zuni Microsite". Could I ask where you found this information? Per WP:NOR, original research is not permitted on Wikipedia, and I believe creating this "Zuni Microsite" would fall under original research. Zatoicy (talk) 20:39, 22 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Heya,
Thank you so much for the message, and I really appreciate the message about the good work on the first article.
You are right, I have slipped up on the Zuni Microsite section.
The term 'Zuni Microsite' is used in the Virginia Natural Heritage Program and Old Dominion University (ODU) management documents to describe the cluster of preserves (including Blackwater Ecological Preserve and Antioch Pines) that share the same 'Zuni Pine Barrens' ecosystem. You can find the primary documentation here: Zuni Pine Barrens Preserves Management Plan (ODU).
However, I agree that 'Zuni Microsite' might be too niche of a technical label for a general article title if it's hard to find. I am happy to rename the draft to 'Zuni Pine Barrens' or 'Zuni Pine Barrens Preserves' to match the more common terminology used by the DCR and ODU. Would that resolve the concern? Thanks again for helping me get the sourcing right! Magwitch49 (talk) 01:50, 23 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hey again. First off, "Zuni Microsite" is not used in the Zuni Pine Barrens Preserves Management Plan (ODU). Second, I would recommend creating a draft for the Zuni Pine Barrens, referencing the relevant documentation. Lastly, I am curious as to where you got the information for the Zuni Microsite. Could you provide the sources used? Zatoicy (talk) 03:43, 23 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
