Hi I would really appreciate some help. I have been tasked with updating our charity's Wikipedia page. I started on edits and had them all reverted by another user. She stated that I should have declared I was an employee which I have now done on my user page. I responded to her message but have not heard back from her. Now I'm uncertain what to do next! I did try to write the copy as objectively as possible and used external citations where I could. Any advice on next steps would be much appreciated. Our page really is out of date and incomplete --SueannSAM (talk) 02:34, 18 September 2025 (UTC)
How do I vote for photo of the year? I am able to pull up the galleries, yet only see "view file", "view votes", and "not eligible". I'd like to participate. Thanks for your help. Nevermind, I'm too new to vote for 2024. Looking forward to next year!--KawaiiKwi (talk) 00:26, 19 September 2025 (UTC)

Question from Stopifr on Help:Introduction to Wikipedia (02:36, 30 September 2025)
[edit]Hey, so you know the warning that pops up when you try to edit and article without an account telling you your ip address will be shown, right? Well in the Arabic version (and I assume this is a mistake) it instead says: “a temporary account will be made.” Which completely omits what the original warning is trying to say. Who do I go to? Who can fix this? --Stopifr (talk) 02:36, 30 September 2025 (UTC)
- The Arabic Wikipedia and English Wikipedia are completely separate entities and have no control over each other, therefor have different practices. If you'd like, you can ask on the Arabic Wikipedia. Lordseriouspig 05:31, 30 September 2025 (UTC)
Help for Publishing Contested Article
[edit]Hello, I am Eginah.
I wrote an article titled, "Ngorongoro-Lengai UNESCO Global Geopark". Then I finished ten edits and moved the article from the sandbox for publication. However, I received notification that the title exists/resembles other info from other sources (websites). Then, on 28th September I decided to change the title and make it read, "Geopark Initiatives in Sub-Saharan Africa" but I received similar notification. I made a Requested Move, but I haven't received any info from Wikipedia, and I don't know what to do next.
Hence, I am requesting for your help. The request is made because the move of an article has been contested under the reasons that this title matches an entry on the local or global blacklists. Nevertheless, after my review, I found out that the title does not exist in other sources/websites locally and globally. It also does not exist on neither sources such as books, news, nor scholarly papers. I wrote the article after conducting a study on the proposed title, especially basing on the Ngorongoro-Lengai UNESCO Global Geopark in Tanzania, East Africa. Thus, I am requesting Wikipedia to grant permission for it to be published. Eginah (talk) 11:22, 30 September 2025 (UTC)
