Potential request for help and advice
[edit]Hi, I don't want to much bother (or write to much) on friendly notice. If you can, could you investigate the edits made by unregistered user with accounts 141.136.245.131 and 89.164.199.18 reverted by user FMSky. The edits made by former are I think well made, constructive, analitical and fair but with some mistakes of course; FMSky's edits are possibly result of vandalism and unfairness (and violation of some rules potentially), while the former's aim is to make a correct grammar mistakes (comas, colons, duplicate words (and numbers)) etc. and to make texts comprehensible, smooth and, in some cases, some shortening and so on. The topic is about video game titles (sections Gameplay, Development and Reception, the latter probably not in all articles). I know you are not administrator but if you can check it out; if it is vandalism, then possible revert to all or partial. I went to another user to talk but was mistake (little edits about 40), while you have a lot. Please also refrain from bad unregistered users bias - not all unregistered users are bad (they can be fair and honest) but some are bad ones; it is also for registered (some good, some bad). In addition, I also respect some Wiki rules, even though some of them I am not agreedable with them too much, just calm opinion. You can delete message freely, but before this please read it if you can. If there is another one who can help and understand, well thank you. Peace.

Designer of Kyo Kusanagi
[edit]I have read a bit a guidebook of KOF about the main developers behind the Orochi arc but there isn't much about NESTS. When it comes to Kyo's NESTS design I haven't found information about the main artist behind it other than the desire for the character to wear more casual outfits. By any chance does any of the Japanese magazines explain well how they made that design? Something similar happened with XII/XIII Iori Yagami who wears a new outfit for the first time in the main games but I couldn't find any discussion. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 20:29, 7 February 2025 (UTC)
- @Tintor2:I don't know what i could tell you, since i haven't come across with Japanese magazines talking about KOF XII and KOF XIII but i'll put it on the talk page of the character if i stumble with some kind of info... Roberth Martinez (talk) 21:55, 7 February 2025 (UTC)
- @Tintor2:I noticed you're doing an article for Angel from KOF. I have some sources that might be useful for you:
- "Entrevista con EVOGA Entertainment - Entrevista exclusiva con Ángel Torres, director de EVOGA Entertainment". Bonus Stage MX. May 3, 2016. Archived from the original on 2020-05-30. Retrieved 2020-06-23.
- "EVOGA, eslabón entre SNK y México – #AtomixShow 069". Atomix (in Spanish). Prowell Media. August 26, 2016. Archived from the original on 2019-04-10. Retrieved 2020-06-23.
- I hope that helps in anything! Roberth Martinez (talk) 23:12, 10 February 2025 (UTC)
- I think I used those sources but feel free to be bold if there is something missing and add them to the article. Sadly, I can't upload nonfree images in my old monitor so if possible could you upload one image for the infobox? Tintor2 (talk) 23:26, 10 February 2025 (UTC)
- @Tintor2:I never tried uploading a image of a video game character. I have regarding cover arts, arcade flyers, and gameplay screenshots but never video game characters... Roberth Martinez (talk) 01:59, 11 February 2025 (UTC)
- By the way, I was considering a certain article but sadlly couldn't find much about K9999/Krohnen McDougall. I thought there be a lot reception even though he is the most controversial character in kof history due to his similarities with Tetsuo from Akira and how SNK redesigned him for XV probably to avoid similarities. If You find anything worthwhile, feel free to tell me Tintor2 (talk) 21:07, 13 February 2025 (UTC)
- @Tintor2:It might be worth checking out this site as a starting guide for SNK info: https://www.culturaneogeo.com/hemeroteca Roberth Martinez (talk) 01:16, 14 February 2025 (UTC)
- @Tintor2:Found this regarding KOF XII: https://archive.org/details/Amusement-Journal-2009-02/Amusement%20Journal%202009%2002/page/88/mode/2up Roberth Martinez (talk) 19:17, 16 February 2025 (UTC)

FA nomination
[edit]I've been backlogged and just starting to catch up. I've taken Kim Kitsuragi to FA, and while I have a few good reviews, I think one more set of eyes would take it across the finish line. As I wrap that up, I will also have time to review anything you have. Maybe a GA, or something that could use one good copy edit before it goes to GA. Let me know. Shooterwalker (talk) 00:45, 2 March 2025 (UTC)
- @Shooterwalker:If you mean keeping an eye on the article during the FA process then sure, no problem! Right now, i only have one GA nomination open for the time being (that being Hanna Barbera's Turbo Toons). Roberth Martinez (talk) 00:51, 2 March 2025 (UTC)
- I was hoping to get one more review of the prose for Kim Kitsuragi. Most issues should be resolved, but another set of eyes can find any other weirdness. Shooterwalker (talk) 01:10, 2 March 2025 (UTC)
- @Shooterwalker:Ah OK! Well, let me check if there are any ligering issues within the article. Roberth Martinez (talk) 02:03, 2 March 2025 (UTC)

Virtual Boy Wario Land
[edit]Hey, I'm planning on bringing this to featured status. Would you be interested in co-nominating it? I'm gonna try to do a deep dive and get a li'l copy edit done of it, see if there is more to expand. Cukie Gherkin (talk) 12:27, 16 April 2025 (UTC)
- @Cukie Gherkin:Not interested right now in taking a article to feature status, but you are very much welcomed in doing so by yourself. I don't oppose to the idea at all, although i can try to help with anything that comes up in the featured nomination. Roberth Martinez (talk) 14:44, 16 April 2025 (UTC)
- All right, thanks! - Cukie Gherkin (talk) 14:57, 16 April 2025 (UTC)

A very odd question
[edit]The sources you've been able to find in Internet Archive, are these things you're running across yourself or uploading yourself/part of a group uploading them? I'm asking because there's a particular Mook I need access to to finish an article properly, but it only ships to Japan from Amazon, and could use a go-between to work with to get the info out of it. Kung Fu Man (talk) 02:54, 30 April 2025 (UTC)
- @Kung Fu Man:I stumble upon them by myself when looking for old magazines with info about arcade games that don't have a lot of sources. What is the name of that mook by the way? It is something from Gamest or from the All About book series? I can try to see if it is either in Internet Archive or E-Hentai (there are a lot of rare video game sources on the latter). P.S.: But say, if you are working on a Sega article for example: Sega Retro is a great repostory and starting guide to see what you're looking for is there: (1). P.S.S.: Be sure to also check out the magazine article section at Sega Retro as well. It might also contain comment about the project you're working on: (2). Roberth Martinez (talk) 10:47, 30 April 2025 (UTC)
- In this case it was a 2D "idol" mook that had an article talking with the folks behind Sakura, Jill Valentine and Honey. I saw a bit of the article on twitter but even the page number was obscured, and the person that posted it runs mainly an automated account. I've dug through archive.org and e-hentai for what I could at least. Just wanted to check because you always seem to find interesting stuff, hell that one you put on Morrigan's talk page is why I dug hard to see what Honey had, heh.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 19:17, 30 April 2025 (UTC)
- @Kung Fu Man:Do you have a link to the post? I have a clue as to who you are referring. With the name of the magazine in Japanese, i could try to pinpoint which issue is based on the cover telling what's inside of the magazine. Yeah, i somehow have the tendency of coming across with stuff about a game on the available magazine issues online that's not mentioned on the Japanese wikipedia, since i tend to check out what it is being uploaded by the users at Internet Archive and other magazine-hosting websites. Probably a good skill i acquired after i was part of an Atari Jaguar fan group at Facebook years ago, as i used to post magazine scans with info about released and unreleased Jaguar games + other general stuff about the console, since i have owned two during my lifetime thanks to my dad, who was also a video game fan and collector but from the old school. Roberth Martinez (talk) 19:49, 30 April 2025 (UTC)
- The tweet in question is here. I found the issue on Amazon, but it's not available for shipping to the US.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 20:12, 30 April 2025 (UTC)
- @Kung Fu Man:I don't know if you're looking for any more ideas for future video game character articles on Wikpedia but if i may suggest one, Yuko Asou of the Valis series would be a good one. Assuming there are enough sources talking about the character in question. Roberth Martinez (talk) 01:26, 1 May 2025 (UTC)
