Clarification

[edit]

In this edit to Draft:Dixon rings, you added the following source:

Abdelrouf, M. (2018). Novel applications for Dixon rings. Novel applications for Dixon rings. Lancaster: Mohamed Abdelraouf, pp.2-3.

I was unable to find any academic paper matching this title, but I did find a reference to a Ph.D. project at Lancaster University: Novel applications of the Random Packing Structure Dixon rings. As this is a nascent project, it is unclear that any papers have yet been published from it, but if they have, you'll have to provide a more complete citation (journal of publication, date, etc.) Also, as the Ph.D. project appears to be sponsored by Croft Engineering, the manufacturer of Dixon rings, I don't know that it will count as independent coverage. Also, when you resubmit your draft, please leave prior decline comments intact, as this assists future reviewers in reviewing your draft. Finally, I went to some effort to clean up the grammar and style of your draft (as I believe it will eventually qualify for publication); please do not undo that work. Improve the draft with better sourcing, but leave the improved grammar and formatting in place. Thanks! WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 21:24, 19 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Dixon rings

[edit]

(@WikiDan61:) Hello, thanks for reviewing my page, you have said the sources are not reliable and need changing however this could very difficult as all the sources of information on Dixon rings come from people who also happen to produce them, all this may seem like advertising these are scientific papers which have been produced to show the performance principles of Dixon rings and are scientifically accurate, if had researched very thoroughly and cant find anything else on Dixon rings that I can reference, what should I do, also the paper written by Mohamed Abdelraouf has been given to me by hand, so that it why you cannot find it, as it hasn't been published yet Thanks for editing my as well, that has been a great help

This submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources. Reliable sources are required so that information can be verified. If you need help with referencing, please see Referencing for beginners and Citing sources.
The comment the reviewer left was:
I've marked unreliable sources (articles published by device manufacturers that can only really be seen as product advertising) and failed verifications (sources that do not actually verify the contents being cited). I believe this article can be made acceptable for publication and that the topic merits inclusion if the referencing issues can be resolved.

This submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources. Reliable sources are required so that information can be verified. If you need help with referencing, please see Referencing for beginners and Citing sources.
The comment the reviewer left was:
Too many citation issues to accept at this point. Also, only a single reliable source is needed to verify any given statement. Packing more than one or two references is overkill and makes readers wonder about the actual veracity of the article.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit when they have been resolved.

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Liance was:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of organizations and companies). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit when they have been resolved.

Your submission at Articles for creation: Genlab (October 18)

[edit]
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by CaptainEek was:
This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit when they have been resolved.
