User talk:Ismailrizwan97
August 2025
[edit]
Hello Ismailrizwan97. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Ismailrizwan97. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Ismailrizwan97|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. COOLIDICAE🕶 17:44, 26 August 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for pointing this out. I am new to the Wikipedia platform and was not aware of the specific disclosure requirements. I have not intended to violate any policies. I will make sure to review the guidelines carefully and comply with the mandatory disclosure rules going forward. I appreciate your guidance and will keep this in mind for any future contributions. Ismailrizwan97 (talk) 11:24, 27 August 2025 (UTC)
- I'm going to ask you again to disclose before I report your account - you are very clearly engaging in paid editing, and you need to disclose. COOLIDICAE🕶 18:37, 28 August 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for reaching out and clarifying the policy. I would like to confirm that I have indeed been compensated for my contributions related to the band Carbon Lifeforms. My client, Mary Jo A., approached me through referrals and requested that I prepare a draft article about the band. She provided payment for this work. I am new to the Wikipedia platform and was not aware of the mandatory disclosure requirements regarding paid contributions. I now understand that all paid editing must be disclosed under the Wikimedia Foundation’s Terms of Use, and I recognize the importance of transparency in maintaining Wikipedia’s neutrality and credibility.
- To comply, I will update my user page with the appropriate disclosure template (
This user, in accordance with the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use, discloses that they have been paid by {{{employer}}} for their contributions to Wikipedia. - ) indicating that I have been compensated by Mary Jo A. for work related to Carbon Lifeforms. I will also ensure that any further contributions are proposed on article talk pages or submitted through the Articles for Creation process, rather than editing directly, in order to respect Wikipedia’s conflict of interest and paid editing guidelines.
- I appreciate your patience in pointing this out, and I will make sure to follow the proper procedures going forward. Ismailrizwan97 (talk) 19:41, 28 August 2025 (UTC)
- Before editing further, can you state whether you are being paid to edit Wikipedia? This includes editing articles relating to your boss, company, and more. Again, please read Wikipedia's payment disclosure policy, then disclose payments as required. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 19:22, 28 August 2025 (UTC)

- You haven't adequately disclosed, you have to link to platforms where you also advertise your services and put it on your userpage - and since you're paid, you should read the rules and figure out how to do it yourself instead of expecting editors who are not paid to do so for you.
- On the other hand, you can also just give your clients their money back since you're woefully unqualified to do this and have presented yourself as a Wikipedia "professional" despite clearly not being such.
- Hope this helps. COOLIDICAE🕶 20:28, 28 August 2025 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Carbon Lifeforms
[edit]
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Carbon Lifeforms, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
- It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
