Your submission at Articles for creation: Abdol Moabery (June 7)

[edit]
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reasons left by CSMention269 were:
This submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources. Reliable sources are required so that information can be verified. If you need help with referencing, please see Referencing for beginners and Citing sources.
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Category:Tipping has been nominated for renaming. A discussion is taking place to decide whether it complies with the categorization guidelines. If you would like to participate in the discussion, you are invited to add your comments at the category's entry on the categories for discussion page. Thank you. [edit]

You removed a link to John Klingberg's extermal webpage, suggesting that I either create an internal link to Wikipedia, or else put the link in the references section. I have tried unsuccessfully to create a Wikipedia page for him, since he was influential in early Van Morrison recordings but died young and is not mentioned much in books (eclipsed by Morrison). I just would like for folks to be able to click on his name and go somewhere to learn about him, but having that link in a different section of the Wikis would be lost. 38.98.191.12 (talk) 18:49, 24 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry, but Wikipedia is not a primary source or a secondary source. Based on our general notability guideline, viewable at WP:GNG, a subject is not notable for inclusion if we can't find enough significant, independent, reliable sources from the subject that establish clear notability. External links in the body is even less appropriate so and especially in an infobox. Wikipedia is not a soapbox or means of promotion. Chi Alpha Sigma

[edit]

Good afternoon - you recently reverted a couple of edits to the Chi Alpha Sigma article. I thought that you were correct, but wanted to note that I followed up with the Exec Dir for the organization. Indeed, as I recalled from communication with him (Kellen) several years ago, although the River Falls address that you added was correct, they purposefully didn't want it listed on that article, which is how I had earlier left it. Where we show mailing addresses they have supporting references, but CSX's own website has stripped this address from public view. Project consensus is to go along with the organizations wishes on minor stuff like this. I also told the Exec that we'd deleted some unnecessary puffery. He agreed with the adjustments I had made. Thanks for engaging on this... Jax MN (talk) 21:50, 6 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Please slow down

[edit]

The number of nominations you are making is extremely excessive, time-wasting, and prevents truly notable ones from being discovered because no one has the time to do adequate searches. BeanieFan11 (talk) 17:47, 15 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I can certainly limit the AFD nominations, but as a request of you, please do not de-PROD articles for the sole reason of there being too many PRODs active, or without adding sources. De-PRODing because there are too many active Olympian PRODs quite frankly invite an AFD in the first place. InvadingInvader (userpage, talk) 18:25, 15 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
PROD is for uncontroversial deletions, and they can be removed for any reason - really just the thought to de-PROD makes it a contested deletion. Also remember that alternatives to deletion must be considered before PRODing in the first place, and so maybe slow down with all the PRODs while you're at it? Kingsif (talk) 22:10, 15 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Notice

The article Tawag ng Tanghalan (season 6 daily rounds) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Virtually all references are WP:PRIMARY (ABS-CBN/Facebook/Youtube) thus failing WP:GNG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Formatting error

[edit]

Hello, InvadingInvader,

I was reviewing today's AFDs and found two that you closed that had a formatting error. I corrected them but if you plan to close other AFDs in the future then you should look at my edit on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jack Walter and see where you are supposed to put the closure template. Also, don't feel bad, almost all editors who don't use XFDcloser make this same error. Thank you for all of your contributions! Liz Read! Talk! 05:00, 24 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I just came here to say the same thing. Both Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jessica Smith (runner) and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Manuela Berchtold had the same problem before I fixed the formatting. It's great to have you helping us with closing AfDs, but as Liz said, you should seriously consider using Wikipedia:XFDcloser for this. Less work for you, less work for those fixing formatting errors after you. :) Owen× 13:06, 24 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Roen McCullough

[edit]

Hello InvadingInvader,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Roen McCullough for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Got a chuckle from your edit summary

[edit]

On your edit here [1], I was puzzled by your edit summary, "copyright infringement". I see that explanation when people remove 3300 bytes. But why would someone add 3300 bytes of copyright material, then tag it in the edit summary? Oh, I get it. Cheers. signed, Willondon (talk) 19:53, 7 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Lol ;) I probably should have added a better summary anyways. probably should trout myself InvadingInvader (userpage, talk) 19:56, 7 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Sometimes the fault is with the reader. This one guy told me that when he was a boy, they'd be driving on the highways and see various farms with the sign "Pick your own strawberries!" He thought they meant like "Stay off our property. Go pick your own strawberries!". signed, Willondon (talk) 20:02, 7 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Bobby George page move

[edit]

Hi,

Your page move of Bobby George to Bobby George (darts player) took place without discussion or consensus. It may not meet WP:PRIMARYTOPIC.

It has resulted in 50+ pages that linked to the darts player now linking to a disambiguation page, this renders Bobby George (darts player) a useless link atm.

I think keeping Bobby George (darts player) at Bobby George and having a Bobby George (disambiguation) page could have and still could be an option. DartsF4 (talk) 10:12, 8 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

You might be right - if you want to revert the move I won't oppose it. InvadingInvader (userpage, talk) 15:57, 8 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Your nomination of LIV (nightclub) has passed

[edit]

Your good article nomination of the article LIV (nightclub) has passed; congratulations! See the review page for more information. If the article is eligible to appear in the "Did you know" section of the Main Page, you can nominate it within the next seven days. Message delivered by ChristieBot, on behalf of Spintendo -- Spintendo (talk) 21:24, 8 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Just a follow up, thank you again for your help with this review, it's much appreciated. In attempting to fulfill #6 of WP:GAN/I#PASS, I tried listing the article under the topic you chose when you began the nomination process, that being "Places" under Geography. However, the directions for that list state "Include only cities, towns, neighborhoods, states, provinces, counties, and other subnational political designations. Other locations belong somewhere else." As LIV is a business, it's more appropriately listed under the businesses and organizations category. I understand why you probably didn't choose that one, as it can be difficult to locate in the directory. It's actually located here:
That is where I've listed the LIV (nightclub) article now. Regards,  Spintendo  15:11, 9 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds good - thank you again for the review! InvadingInvader (userpage, talk) 15:13, 9 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Because the category crosses genres, it also falls under Agriculture, Hospitality, Food and Drink establishments. Listing it under one places it automatically under the other. That is why on the talk page you'll see "Agriculture" as the default category, but I didn't want to confuse you, as it did confuse me for a moment. Anyways, take care.  Spintendo  17:13, 9 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
