I have been unblocked on simple english wikipedia and I want to attempt my unblock request soon
[edit]I have been unblocked on simple english wikipedia and wish to attempt an appeal soon here. Immanuelle ❤️💚💙 (talk to the cutest Wikipedian) 00:09, 15 July 2025 (UTC)
- I have edited there for about a month since the unblock. And I have much less userspace drafts now that I deleted many or moved them to mainspace. Immanuelle ❤️💚💙 (talk to the cutest Wikipedian) 02:27, 15 July 2025 (UTC)
- So putting my thoughts together. 6 month long 10 draft voluntary restriction. Hard cap, no exceptions. Will practically be more like a 4 draft restriction since 6 exist already and I do not plan on immediately deleting them. Immanuelle ❤️💚💙 (talk to the cutest Wikipedian) 20:07, 15 July 2025 (UTC)
- I'm sorry everyone. Immanuelle ❤️💚💙 (talk to the cutest Wikipedian) 03:21, 3 August 2025 (UTC)
- Good luck, @Immanuelle. I think those restrictions would make sense. qcne (talk) 12:02, 3 August 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you, I really want to get to doing this soon. Immanuelle ❤️💚💙 (talk to the cutest Wikipedian) 01:53, 9 October 2025 (UTC)

- @Wikiexplorationandhelping thank you so much! I really hope this goes well! I have more hope. I think my good behavior on simplewiki is better positive evidence of anything than I had in my earlier attempt. Immanuelle ❤️💚💙 (talk to the cutest Wikipedian) 04:16, 18 October 2025 (UTC)

- Hi Immanuelle, I don't want to clog up your unblock request below, but can you respond to my question about state Shinto that came up last time an unblock was being considered? Best, Dekimasuよ! 06:41, 18 October 2025 (UTC)
- @Dekimasu I am not super available right now so I will give a better response tomorrow if this is a complicated question, but can you repeat the question? Immanuelle ❤️💚💙 (talk to the cutest Wikipedian) 06:44, 18 October 2025 (UTC)
- The diff is here (again, trying to avoid clogging up your page). Dekimasuよ! 07:04, 18 October 2025 (UTC)
- @Dekimasu thank you. I feel I do have the knowledge now. I do not feel I had the knowledge at the time of my block but I have done much more reading on this topic and feel more confident in avoiding those problems now.
- I am also less interested in the Modern system of ranked Shinto shrines than I was earlier. I don't think it is a useful guide for determining which shrines to make articles on now anymore, and my interest is more around the Engishiki Jinmyocho now.
- Most of the Kan-sha in the article that do not have articles are ones that appear to be most notable because Japanese fascists tried to use them for promoting their ideology. Fukui Shrine is not more notable than Hinumanai Shrine, despite the fact that the Modern system ranks it much higher. Immanuelle ❤️💚💙 (talk to the cutest Wikipedian) 07:39, 18 October 2025 (UTC)
- @Dekimasu thoughts on this response? Immanuelle ❤️💚💙 (talk to the cutest Wikipedian) 22:05, 18 October 2025 (UTC)
- Hi Immanuelle, I think this is a good answer, and it's enough for me unless any new issues related to Japanese imperialism arise. I would have preferred to have you avoid the topic area, but I understand that it is one of your primary editing interests. Best, Dekimasuよ! 04:31, 2 November 2025 (UTC)

Notes
[edit]Notes I am taking before actual unblock request
- 6 month long 10 draft voluntary restriction. Hard cap, no exceptions. Practically it is a smaller amount since there are existing drafts that I do not intend on deleting
- Open to a topic ban but it is not something I feel is necessary
- Unblocked with overwhelming admin support on simple english wikipedia and have not caused issues sine then
Immanuelle ❤️💚💙 (talk to the cutest Wikipedian) 06:04, 12 October 2025 (UTC)
- You can check this thing out User_talk:Immanuelle/Archive_20#Recap
- My drafts on simple english wikipedia are pretty much thoroughly finished. You can see my pages that I did complete on simple english wikipedia on my userpage.
- Juzenji issues: I feel I acted courteously and helped out with the jawiki stuff.
- Immanuelle ❤️💚💙 (talk to the cutest Wikipedian) 06:24, 12 October 2025 (UTC)
- A problem is just that my case feels on the complex side for this kind of thing. So balancing being short and giving all the necessary information is a difficult task Immanuelle ❤️💚💙 (talk to the cutest Wikipedian) 23:50, 13 October 2025 (UTC)
Unblock request
[edit]
Immanuelle (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
I was being disruptive because I was not acting collaboratively. Putting an excessive emphasis on making pages on everything, which were often shoddy and did not express understanding of the topic. That led to problems like misrepresentations on Juzenji and Sannō Ichijitsu Shintō. I was given a second chance on Simple English Wikipedia and have edited there for 4 months without issue. This was a great opportunity and I feel I learned a lot about working more collaboratively there. I liked watching recent changes for vandalism and welcoming new users among other things I never did here before. I did have some issues on wikidata in July related to being overly keen on database imports and mass editing, and while that is months ago, it is what I fear is the biggest case against my unblock. During the last appeal people took issue with the simple english wikipedia drafts and the behavior on jawiki. I have cleared almost my entire userspace on simple english wikipedia, and I believe I acted courteously in response to the jawiki issues. I will take a voluntary editing restriction limiting me to 10 drafts. Practically this will be lower since I still have some leftover drafts, in addition to following all of the existing editing restrictions. I hope that you give me a second chanceImmanuelle ❤️💚💙 (talk to the cutest Wikipedian) 11:43 pm, 17 October 2025, last Friday (7 days ago) (UTC−4)
Decline reason:
I think we need to see a longer track record of trouble-free editing on Simple Wikipedia first. There's a lot of positive interactions and good things to look at there, so I would very much encourage you to continue and keep up the good work. But comments like the one from August raise concern, and I also see that just a day ago you made a post about wanting to take a wikibreak; all the more reason to not start back up on en.wiki just yet. If I may offer some advice, I think you should try to vent more about your feelings about Wikipedia editing outside of Wikipedia--with friends, to a therapist, on social media, wherever. It's normal and healthy to do so. But if you vent on Wikipedia itself, it can create a feedback loop because it draws attention for random people to investigate and prod your insecurities, not with the intent of supporting you as a friend, but instead with a critical eye of evaluating whether you are fit to continue editing. Ultimately, we're here to work together, not to socialize. 建前, oddly enough, is very important on Wikipedia. signed, Rosguill talk 18:04, 24 October 2025 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- On balance, I am in favour of a second and final chance here, with restrictions: restrictions to be reviewed 6 monthly, behaviour to be reviewed whenever necessary, any future block to be subject to appeal restrictions. I see nothing bad faith here, just a period of serious silliness which has wasted a great deal of the time of others. 🇵🇸🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦🇵🇸 11:04, 18 October 2025 (UTC)
- I would support an unblock based off those restrictions. qcne (talk) 14:30, 18 October 2025 (UTC)
- The unblock request says, "I was given a second chance on Simple English Wikipedia and have edited there for 4 months without issue." This is manifestly not true. Your simple user talk page and archive page are absolutely littered with warnings. So much so that you said, in August, "I am really afraid I am just a drain on the community and like I should just leave." --Yamla (talk) 19:37, 18 October 2025 (UTC)
- @Yamla I think you might have misread the talk page stuff a bit. If you meant the quick deletion stuff starting here, almost all of those were not realy warnings, but actually me requesting deletion of pages I created, but for some reason a glitch put talk page messages on my own page.
- I was very afraid of being a drain on the community, I think understandably so based on my history, and was very anxious that day. I am still afraid of being a drain on the community, and I think that is a good thing since it will help me avoid causing problems.
- The talk page messages from other people did point out some problems, but it was not very extreme, and mostly related to formatting issues on pages I made well before the unblock which I had not properly fixed, and issues with one complicated calendar template I was trying to make and having issues with, which you can see the results of here simple:Template:Infobox_calendar_date_today. Immanuelle ❤️💚💙 (talk to the cutest Wikipedian) 21:57, 18 October 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for responding. The reviewing administrator will certainly take that into account. --Yamla (talk) 01:08, 19 October 2025 (UTC)

For future unblock requests
[edit]About how long would be a good time to wait until a potential new request? Do you think it would be reasonable to do another one this year? Immanuelle ❤️💚💙 (talk | contribs) 18:12, 24 October 2025 (UTC)
- In general, six months. WP:SO. So, no sooner than 2026-04-24. --Yamla (talk) 18:18, 24 October 2025 (UTC)
- Again? That doesn't seem fair. I feel like she should've at least gotten a {{2nd chance}} and then see where that develops. Wikiexplorationandhelping (talk) 19:53, 24 October 2025 (UTC)
- I think 6 months is too much, and this unblock request was much better than the last. Perhaps it could be sooner. Wikiexplorationandhelping (talk) 19:55, 24 October 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you. I am a bit stressed right now. But I will do a re-application when I feel less stressed. Immanuelle ❤️💚💙 (talk | contribs) 21:16, 24 October 2025 (UTC)
- Fair or unfair, it would be wise to wait for those six months. This is not a punitive thing. It is to allow you to develop a substantial and unhurried body of collegial work on the version of Wikipedia you are choosing as a demonstration of your understanding, and of your ability to work collegially.
- I recognise your stress. Please do nothing while stressed except to do a real world thing away from the computer. When you are free, freer, from stress, please only work, and do not offer a new unblock request even on the dat suggested. Let it pass for some days.
- I am not saying this to be in any way mean. I valued your good work prior to the block, and I woudl like you to be back here where I can value your work again. For this to happen you need more patience than I have! 🇵🇸🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦🇵🇸 21:34, 24 October 2025 (UTC)
