[edit](now 50% more accurate!)
I'm Tesseractic and I want to welcome you to Wikipedia!
Wikipedia is an amazing community adventure which is constantly being edited to ensure the correct ideological positions are upheld. There are many different versions of Wikipedia for many different languages, and the English version has 7,095,799 articles which are written by volunteers like you and me! We even have a newspaper, The Signpost, to keep you up to date with news and new developments. Making your first steps on Wikipedia can be hard sometimes, so if you need any help, don't hesitate to leave a message on my talk page or ask a question on your talk page . Someone will help you soon!
Wikipedia has five pillars which summarise Wikipedia's fundamental principles:
- Wikipedia is an encyclopedia
- Wikipedia is written from a neutral point of view (DO NOT LAUGH OK)
- Wikipedia is free content that anyone can use, edit, and distribute
- Editors should treat each other with respect and civility
- Wikipedia has no firm rules

[Nationality] former [profession]
[edit]Did you really mean to say "I think that you're right in that "[nationality] former [profession]" is probably much more common than t'other way 'round"? — BarrelProof (talk) 03:52, 30 April 2025 (UTC)

[edit]I replied to your message on my Talk page. I'm telling you here because you'll get an email alerting you, whereas I don't think you'll get an email indicating that I replied on my Talk page. Maurice Magnus (talk) 20:10, 23 June 2025 (UTC)
RFCs
[edit]Do not use the RfC tag for questions about article content. RfCs are one of the last steps in dispute resolution. If you need help with an article, try asking at a relevant WikiProject. voorts (talk/contributions) 22:23, 27 September 2025 (UTC)
- On the RfC page:
A request for comment (RfC) is a way to ask the Wikipedia community for input on an issue. Often, the issue is what an article should say. [...] The aim of RfC discussions is to improve the encyclopedia, and they may relate to article content pages [...]
- It sort of seemed to me as if the above covered this usage—but, admittedly, I've not seen an RfC used in this way before, or not that I can recall.
- I'll go ahead & remove the tag, unless someone else has already.
- Cheers,

- D'oh! Well, that's what I get for skimmin'...
- Thanks for the WikiProject: Military History link in your other edit, BTW—I could not manage to find that sucker. (I tried before making the RfC, too—at least, in that I knew I'd seen discussion of the requisite nature somewhere on Wikipedia, before... but couldn't find any Noticeboard or the like that seemed to fit. Now I know why!)

Battle of Maritsa 3O
[edit]Hello Himaldrmann, Hope you’re doing well and still heroically taming the problem of universals... just a quick and friendly note about the Battle of Maritsa 3O as t’s been sitting a while and we’re waiting for your verdict whenever you get a moment. No need to go through the whole novel again, the last few posts show our difference in interpretating the wikirules pretty clear.
Didn’t want this one to vanish down the backlog abyss. Thanks again for taking it on! -Aeengath (talk) 14:17, 5 November 2025 (UTC)
