[edit] Hello. Some of your recent genre changes, such as the one you made to Skunk Anansie, have conflicted with our neutral point of view and/or verifiability policies. While we invite all users to contribute constructively to Wikipedia, we urge all editors to provide reliable sources for edits made. When others disagree, we recommend you seek consensus for certain edits by discussing the matter on the article's talk page. Thank you. FMSky (talk) 22:27, 27 April 2025 (UTC)

[edit] Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively, you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.

[edit] Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that your recent edit to Emily Armstrong did not have an edit summary. Collaboration among editors is fundamental to Wikipedia, and every edit should be explained by a clear edit summary, or by discussion on the Talk page. Please use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to describe what it changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.
The edit summary field looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
or in the visual editor:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. When logged in to your Wikipedia account, you can give yourself a reminder by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary (or the default undo summary), and then click the "Save" button.

Nu metal
[edit]Could you stop adding this genre to tons of bands please? FMSky (talk) 22:06, 31 July 2025 (UTC)
- i liek nu metal 🤤🤤 DouziAsher (talk) 22:09, 31 July 2025 (UTC)
- yes i can tell considering you're doing nothing else but adding this genre to various bands FMSky (talk) 22:10, 31 July 2025 (UTC)
- y’know, there are references on the internet and on pages that say they are considered as nu, yeah? so, why not add them? DouziAsher (talk) 22:12, 31 July 2025 (UTC)
- I should be added only if the source explicitly calls them a nu metal band. Not if they're only talking about influences or about a single album.FMSky (talk) 22:14, 31 July 2025 (UTC)

- To piggyback off this, even if genres are sourced, they can be WP:FRINGE. Take the source for Rammstein and one I removed for White Zombie. They're reliable and explicitly call the bands nu-metal, but that's one or two reviews out of hundreds. Wikipedia's own article on the two bands doesn't call them nu-metal. Fungus Amongus
[edit] Hello, I'm CleoCat16. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Fungus Amongus, but used an unreliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a better citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. CleoCat16 (talk) 23:31, 11 August 2025 (UTC)

[edit] Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at List of hip-hop musicians, you may be blocked from editing. Donald Albury 01:11, 12 August 2025 (UTC)

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at List of doom metal bands, you may be blocked from editing. FMSky (talk) 20:09, 20 August 2025 (UTC)
- Okay, I deeply apologize, but why is it disruptive when it IS considered within that genre? DouziAsher (talk) 20:13, 20 August 2025 (UTC)
- Where is it stated in the sources you added?? https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=List_of_doom_metal_bands&diff=prev&oldid=1306135079 FMSky (talk) 20:16, 20 August 2025 (UTC)
Deletion discussion about Folder (band)
[edit]Hello DouziAsher, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
While your contributions are appreciated, I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Folder (band), should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Folder (band).
Deletion discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. Our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. The most common issue in these discussions is notability, but it's not the only aspect that may be discussed; read the nomination and any other comments carefully before you contribute to the discussion. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Frost}}
. And don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~
. Thanks!

[edit] You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced or poorly sourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at List of nu metal bands. See WP:USERG and WP:ALBUMAVOID. You can't cite Discogs.com or Rateyourmusic.com because anyone can log on and change the facts. Binksternet (talk) 20:28, 25 September 2025 (UTC)
- Well, what if they don’t have a reference on the internet? Yet, they still contain that very sound? DouziAsher (talk) 20:56, 25 September 2025 (UTC)
- Wikipedia exists to summarize published sources. It does not exist to show stuff that has not been published. If a band sounds like nu metal but nobody has reviewed them that way then Wikipedia cannot fix it. See WP:NOT and WP:RGW. Binksternet (talk) 22:08, 25 September 2025 (UTC)
- The list is called List of nu metal bands. It is NOT called List of alternative metal bands or List of rap metal bands or List of rap rock bands. Every band on the list must be described in published sources as nu metal. You can't just decide for yourself. See WP:EXPLICITGENRE. The hard policy of WP:Verifiability is in play here. You must take this stuff seriously. Binksternet (talk) 04:45, 29 September 2025 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Folder (band)
[edit]
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Folder (band) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at [[1]]. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
