Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Onel5969 was:
This submission does not appear to be written in the formal tone expected of an encyclopedia article. Entries should be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources. Please rewrite your submission in a more encyclopedic format. Please make sure to avoid peacock terms that promote the subject.
The comment the reviewer left was:
She appears to be notable, but the article needs some work. Right now, it is very promotional in tone, and there are formatting issues as well. First, regarding promotion: 1. lose all instances of "exclusive". Her interviews were not exclusive, that's an advertising word news organizations use. Get rid of the first sentence, it's unimportant and pov... you might just as well as said "she is an untrained journalist". Get rid of personal phrases like "lifelong interest", and "is renowned", "became a familiar face", as well as descriptive adjectives such as "tragic", etc. Rename the "Distinctions" section simply "Awards", and there is no need to break that into two subjections. In the documentaries section, only list documentaries, no interviews. And only those which can be cited.

Regarding formatting: 1. Only use her last name, after the initial use in the lead sentence. Also, the use of Laurence isn't clear in that lead. Do you mean she is known as Laurence Haim... or Laura Laurence? 2. If you make an assertion, have a reliable independent source to cite it, e.g. her fellowship in Chicago, or the Strauss-Kahn sex scandal. 3. The main section needs to be rewritten, getting rid of all the small paragraphs. Personally, I would break it into 3 paragraphs: Pre-Obama, Obama, and Trump. 4. If you have an empty section, like "Early life", get rid of it.

Hope this helps. Feel free to ping me on my talk page if you want me to take another look at it.

Laurence Haïm has an article on the French Wikipedia

[edit]

Look at [1] to see her article. Google news search for her by that name, and you get far more results. Most of the things about her are in French of course. Look at WP:NOTABILITY. Dream Focus 09:02, 16 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I have rewritten certain portions to remove copyvio. I have reviewed the article and have moved it to mainspace. I have also added categories to the article. It is important to add relevant categories. I have also assigned the article to relevant WikiProjects (on the talk page). When you edit articles in the future, make sure to take these steps apart from writing original text. Diptanshu 💬 05:03, 18 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
