Speedy deletion nomination of Tixbase
[edit]
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Tixbase, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. ~ A412 talk! 00:27, 22 May 2025 (UTC)
- I disagreed with the speedy deletion of this article since I did not think it need to be "fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic". But it does need work so to prevent deletion, I moved it to "draft status"; you can find it at Draft:Tixbase.
- Please read over this page:
- and follow the material there to get your draft ready for review.
- Thanks for contributing here! --A. B. (talk • contribs • global count) 03:13, 22 May 2025 (UTC)

Managing a conflict of interest
[edit] Hello, Avalotto. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the Edit Request Wizard), including links or details of reliable sources that support your suggestions;
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Grayfell (talk) 19:47, 6 July 2025 (UTC)
- Your edits are far too promotional and rely on passing mentions, obscure or unreliable sources, or in at least one case, sources which appear to have been LLM hallucinations.
- Additionally, you listed File:Yannik Heinze Public Speaker.jpg as your own work, meaning you personally took this photograph in 2023 and then wrote a promotional article for Yannik Heinze today. Combined with the substance of your edits, this is a strong suggestion of a conflict of interest.
- Again, if you are paid or otherwise compensated for editing, you must disclose this, per WP:PAID, as explained above. Grayfell (talk) 19:56, 6 July 2025 (UTC)
- Hi Grayfell,
- sorry for the late reply, to be honest, your deletion hit me pretty hard and left me quite demotivated for a while. I’m only now getting my head back above water and wanted to respond properly.
- First of all, thank you for your feedback. I know it wasn’t personal, and I genuinely appreciate the time you took to explain things. That said, I’d like to give a bit of context from my side. I recently started exploring Wikipedia editing, and I’m still learning how everything works. The article in question was my first real attempt. I had previously done a short internship at the company, but the article itself came afterward, so I wasn’t paid or asked to create it. I started there simply because I knew them and thought their work might meet notability criteria. In all honesty, part of me also hoped that by showing initiative and contributing something meaningful, I might impress them and possibly land a full-time role one day.
- In hindsight, I see that this backfired and may have done more harm to the company’s image than good and that’s something I truly regret. I never intended to mislead or cross any ethical lines. I also realize now that relying on GPT to help draft and structure parts of the article was a poor decision. It made the content feel artificial and promotional, even though that wasn’t my goal. I’ve since taken a step back and started looking at the article and how I can fix the current flags or how to contribute correctly, even unrelated topics and I want to learn to do this the right way. Thanks again, even if it was tough to hear, your feedback helped me realize what I need to work on.

- This response, which you obviously prompted ChatGPT to write for you, only addresses some of the problems with your recent edits. Your edits cited fake sources. You are responsible for your edits. Since ChatGPT cannot be trusted to make these changes, or to communicate on talk pages, you should not be using ChatGPT to contribute to Wikipedia. Grayfell (talk) 18:47, 8 July 2025 (UTC)
