DYK nomination

[edit]

Hi, unfortunately Andy Griffith is not eligible for DYK at present because it has not been created or expanded 5x or promoted to Good Article within the past 7 days. You are welcome to try again, but I would recommend looking through the guidance at WP:DYKCRIT as there are a lot of rules. If you want to write an article and nominate it for DYK, I recommend creating a draft and checking it meets the requirements and thinking of a hook before publishing it. Hello Arkoftwo4! The thread you created at the Teahouse, can good articles also be featured articles?, has been archived because there was no discussion for a few days.

You can still read the archived discussion. If you have follow-up questions, please create a new thread.

See also the help page about the archival process. The archival was done by lowercase sigmabot III, and this notification was delivered by KiranBOT, both automated accounts. Introduction to contentious topics

[edit]

You have recently edited a page related to the Arab–Israeli conflict, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia's norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

Additionally, you must be logged in, have 500 edits, and have an account age of 30 days, and you are not allowed to make more than 1 revert within 24 hours on any page within this topic.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Request reason:

Your reason here I will not edit anymore articles related to the Israeli Arab conflict

Decline reason:

Your editing related to that subject was only part of the problem. You need to address the other problems too. JBW (talk) 18:03, 7 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

(edit conflict) You once again violated WP:PIA in Special:Diff/1315585190, in addition to various other disruptive edits such as Special:Diff/1315584450. Editing permissions have been removed pending an appropriate explanation of what you were trying to do and how you will avoid such disruption in the future. signed, Rosguill talk 14:17, 7 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
i promise not to do that again Arkoftwo4 (talk) 14:18, 7 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
i didn't notice that Arkoftwo4 (talk) 14:20, 7 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
That doesn't explain why you did it in the first place, or that you understand why the edits in question were problematic. signed, Rosguill talk 14:21, 7 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
so listen. I will not remove anything in an articles talk page saying warning you can request an edit if its about an article related to the Israel and palestine war Arkoftwo4 (talk) 14:22, 7 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
if you can unblock me, I will NOT do any disruptive editing Arkoftwo4 (talk) 14:24, 7 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
