Dwarf planets

Hello AlterixWiki,

I noticed that you've made edits to several articles, claiming that they are dwarf planets (2014 FE72, 541132 Leleākūhonua). I have partially loved those edits.

The question of which objects to call "dwarf planets" has been a contentious one. While Wikipedia does not follow the IAU's "official" definition, some consensus has emerged:

• The guideline at WP:NCASTRO recommends that only the objects listed in the Dwarf planets featured topic should be referred to as dwarf planets.
• For "possible dwarf planets" we have set an (arbitrary) size threshold of 150 km for inclusion in Category:Possible dwarf planets; more importantly, any claim beyond that that an object is a possible dwarf planet needs to come with reliable sources, which in this case means a survey of the available literature that shows that the object is considered a dwarf planet by most scientists. That's not the case for either of the two objects mentioned above. At 220 and 270 km, respectively, they are far too small.

If you believe that a particular object should be called a (possible) dwarf planet like me, I recommend discussing this at WP:ASTRO. Renerpho (talk) 20:40, 25 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hey @Star Mississippi you ban people for no reason, i built a page about an asteroid that not many people knew of and talked with @Rambley about the subject but you blocked me, and i know why you blocked me, your one of those menaces on bettafish.com that banned me for no reason just because i was defending myself, so i hope you know that be more wisely when banning and from now ill never look at wikipedia the same again. Hope you learnt your lesson because i am a starter to making pages and i literally put at the bottom of my article that its still in progress and still needs work but i just removed it. You ban me for “Clearly not trying to make a encylopedia” then what was i trying to do? Plus i wasn't even argueing with @Rambley in their talk page. Making threats like this doesn't really faze administrators. And if it was still a "work in progress" as you say, you shouldn't have submitted it for review. The same thing happened on betta fish forum, i made my own emergency template and sent it to someone who’s betta was dying and asked them to fill it but someone called jackthecaptain got mad at me and i tried defending myself with a morse code post about something and got someone else to be on my side then sleep and wake up early in the morning to see that im banned for just a emergency template and the reason was “You clearly don’t like bettas and came here to troll” then why would i have bettas? And this is precisely why you've been blocked. Anyone can devise their own personal systems--there's nothing inherently wrong with that. I myself have attempted to create my own definitions for what is/isn't a planet. But unless you have the qualifications and peer-reviewed literature to back it up, it has no place here on Wikipedia. And according to a search I did earlier I have never interacted with you besides posting that thread about Zebra finch, so I don't have enough information on whether leleakuhonua is a dwarf planet or not.
