Draft:All Jammu and Kashmir Shia Association
[edit]The article which you wrongly moved to mainspace without correcting the promotional content has been returned to draft. Please don't attempt to move it again until it has passed review. Deb (talk) 15:46, 7 November 2025 (UTC)
- Your claims are totally invalid and quite frankly seem very biased. I admit that the initial creator of this page had not created it following the proper parameters and guidelines. However, the content that I have added and the references that I have added made this article an objective one and unbiased one. There is no promotional content in it. I challenge you to find one piece of promotional information. Whatever information has been taken has been taken duly from the references. Whatever has been written is what has been written in the reference articles by the prominent news agencies, now, don’t tell me the news agencies are biased or that they are promotional. This reflects a dangerous trend, wherein pages from the valley of Jammu and Kashmir and about Jammu and Kashmir and its famous personalities are very little in quantity in Wikipedia. This points towards a systematic repression of Kashmiri and Jammuite celebrities and famous personalities, pages and information relating to the region. We take strong offence of this.
- Especially, the minority Shiite community is very under represented digitally and there is a lack of information about them on Wikipedia and in the Internet in general. This is nothing short of the repression of minorities in a digital manner. I urge Wikipedia to quickly review this decision and move the draft to the main space as not doing so, would reflect a short coming and biased homogeneous nature on Wikipedia’s part, which is otherwise thought to and looked towards as being inclusive, diverse, unbiased and representative of all. - Can you explain how your text came to be identical to an article that had previously been deleted? And who is "we"? Are you aware that you are not allowed to write on behalf of an organisation or share your Wikipedia ID with anyone else? Deb (talk) 09:36, 8 November 2025 (UTC)
- The article wasn’t deleted. I stumbled upon this article which was a draft and improved upon the shortcomings of the previous article created by a different user. Naturally, there might be similar wording, after all it is an improved and detailed version of that article also the references to any given topic are finite so naturally articles on the same topic are bound to be similar.
- Yes I am aware. I am not affiliated with any organisation nor sharing my account with any organisation.
- “We” is a figure of speech referring to the People of Jammu and Kashmir. Being a citizen of Jammu and Kashmir, I express strong offence on behalf of myself and my brethren to the lack of articles pertaining to the region and its organisations, areas, famous personalities and history.
- Your suspicion, scrutiny and attention would be better directed towards people who are actually creating false articles and promotional content on Wikipedia rather than bullying on those trying to add to the diversity and content of Wikipedia in a systematic and objective manner.
- regards. Adamjole (talk) 10:02, 8 November 2025 (UTC)
- It's clear you don't understand the neutral point of view policy or you would be able to see that the entirety of the opening paragraph and the last two paragraphs are written in a promotional style. If you don't fix this promptly, I'll delete the whole draft. When you've attempted to fix it, you can submit for review and see whether independent editors think it's salvageable. Deb (talk) 12:47, 8 November 2025 (UTC)
- Well it seems to me what isn’t clear is whether you know what you’re doing or not. It seems you are very biased. The opening line of the article is taken from the reference by KNS a reputed and established news agency in the region. If you consider that promotional I have nothing to say. We can’t invent information out of thin air nor can we bring details from outside articles.
- similarly the last two paragraphs have also been taken from the articles. I have not engaged in any promotional material or complimenting anyone. Whatever has been said in the reference is what has been written. Adamjole (talk) 12:50, 8 November 2025 (UTC)
- Nonetheless I understand your concern a given the large amount of frauds that try to create promotional content on Wikipedia. I am sorry it if I am too harsh it is just that it is very discouraging when there are no articles from J&K region. I will improve the article further and submit it for review.
- regards Adamjole (talk) 12:56, 8 November 2025 (UTC)
