Stop icon You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war, according to the reverts you've made to Ostrogoths. This means that you are repeatedly reverting content back to how you think it should be, despite knowing that other editors disagree. Once it is known that there is a disagreement, users are expected to collaborate with others, avoid editing disruptively, and try to reach a consensus – rather than repeatedly reverting the changes made by other users.

Important points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive behavior – regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not engage in edit warring – even if you believe that you are right.

You need to discuss the disagreement on the article's talk page and work towards a revision that represents consensus among everyone involved. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution if discussions reach an impasse. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you continue to engage in edit warring, you may be blocked from editing. Sunmist (talk) 13:15, 29 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I was removing AI generated content, it is the other editor's fault for reverting my edit. 2607:FEA8:86DF:FD5C:39B8:2591:FB59:EE86 (talk) 13:17, 29 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I understand your concern, but this does not permit edit warring over it. I highly recommend opening a discussion on Talk:Ostrogoths about removing the section instead. The other editor reverting your change has received an identical warning. Sunmist (talk) 13:25, 29 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for informing me of that. 2607:FEA8:86DF:FD5C:39B8:2591:FB59:EE86 (talk) 13:28, 29 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I see you used GPTZero. Are they still having false positive issues?   –Skywatcher68 (talk) 13:29, 29 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
As far as I know, GPTZero has improved significantly over the past few years. I tried putting the text into a few (non-paywalled) AI detectors. 2 of them said it was AI generated, 2 said it was at least half AI generated. One (Grammarly) said it wasn't AI generated but when I pasted a paragraph literally directly from ChatGPT it also said that one wasn't AI generated. 2607:FEA8:86DF:FD5C:39B8:2591:FB59:EE86 (talk) 13:35, 29 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Re: AI signs

[edit]

Hi -- I noticed you cited the WP:AISIGNS page claiming something was AI. However, you've misinterpreted this page in several ways, and in particular the Outline-like conclusions about challenges section.

As this section clearly states, this sign refers to a very specific, rigid article and paragraph structure, of which there are several near-identical examples on the page. It does not include any arbitrary mention of challenges. And it definitely doesn't include "challenges" used as a verb, which is what you tagged.
