This IP address is often shared amongst different users. I looked at our [collective] history and saw edits to Gideon that wasn't me, but I listen to Gideon! They're pretty unheard of, so that's crazy! Who are you, mystery Gideon listener? Hi, the comments you added to the Frank Beamer article would be considered slanderous. If you have references (newspaper articles) to back up these accusations, please put them back up. Otherwise please don't put the whole Wikipedia project in jeopardy by making libel comments. Felix Rigau Carrera[edit]Please refrain from adding "After World War I, Rigau Carrera moved to Gloucester, Virginia" to the "Later years" section of the article, when it well known that he returned to Puerto Rico where he accomplished many of his historical feats. He moved to Virginia after the Second World War, where he died. Your continued changed without citing a reliable verifiable source will maybe deemed as vandalism and you maybe blocked from further editing Wikipedia. August 2022[edit]Hello @TonyBallioni:, This is Shāntián Tàiláng writing. (Does that actually count as block evasion?? This is a shared IP address and talk page, after all....) First off: Why did you even need to open a sockpuppet investigation into my main account and Block Vader of the Sith?? Prior to being blocked, I made sure to state on both of those accounts' pages that they were the same person, so why was the latter account (created as a WP:SOCKLEGIT) not automatically blocked simultaneously when I was blocked? It is my understanding that "community policy provides for several legitimate uses of alternative accounts where the alternative accounts are not being used to violate site policy (such as by double voting or by giving the impression there is more support for a position in a discussion or content dispute)" [emphasis mine], per WP:CHK. However, I am not completely sure why this edit counted as "block evasion", since I was simply trying to recant the statement that had warranted my block. (My biggest apologies for continuing to mention the conduct of that other user, if that's what made it block evasion. I had honestly forgotten I was not supposed to discuss or ask anyone on WP, WT-using or otherwise, about the conduct of the WT users I'd interacted with previously, as Floquenbeam told me here.) But trust me on this, it's really hard for one to communicate, or even ask clarifying questions, when one is blocked not only from one's own talk page, but also the "User talk" namespace in general (yes, I know some users vandalize other users' talkpages, but I would never do that). Which is why I wrote this on WP, one day prior to writing this on WT using an IP that wasn't blocked yet.) Please tell me-- is it considered "block evasion" if a blocked user uses an IP, or possibly a sock/alt account, to ask questions like this pathetic one on an admin's talkpage, as long as they manage to avoid the behavior that they got blocked for in the first place? And lastly, can you prove whether I did this and/or these edits? I truly do not remember doing those, nor do I believe I could have done those. Cheerio! [edit] Hello, I'm Lightoil. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to Wikipedia:Long-term abuse/WorldCreaterFighter—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. Lightoil (talk) 13:51, 14 March 2023 (UTC)
- My apologies, Lightoil. For some reason, my browser kept flashing weirdly when I tried editing that page. That's never happened before with this browser at all. 158.106.52.10 (talk) 13:54, 14 March 2023 (UTC)

[edit] Hello, I'm Xexerss. I noticed that you recently removed content from Masashi Kishimoto without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. [edit] You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Bell 407. -Fnlayson (talk) 16:47, 30 July 2024 (UTC)
- @Fnlayson: did that Bell 407 edit prompt the CheckUser block that Maxim implemented on this IP? I cannot find any other recent incidents that could have gotten this IP blocked from editing. (And I did not vandalize the Bell 407 page, someone else did, for this is a shared IP after all.) 158.106.52.10 (talk) 15:17, 20 August 2024 (UTC)
- I warned this IP address because it made an unhelpful edit to the Bell 407 article and made seemingly questionable edits to other articles on July 30, 2024. I don't know anything about the block. Maybe User:Maxim blocked it due to long term behavior from this IP address. -Fnlayson (talk) 18:23, 20 August 2024 (UTC)
- @Maxim: is User:Fnlayson correct in his guess about your reason behind this IP address's block, or no? 158.106.52.10 (talk) 18:26, 20 August 2024 (UTC)
August 2024
[edit]Hey @Fnlayson and Maxim:, I've noticed a glaring error at Xavante language: all its instances of {{interlinear}} have |glossing=no abbr
when the grammatical category labels ARE abbreviated. As a result, no tooltips appear at all, which is frustrating for those who do not know what the labels NZR (a mistake for NZ) and POT mean. (Yes, I do also know that DUAL, MED, & SN in that page's templates should be changed to DU, MEDIATOR, & NS respectively.) 158.106.52.10 (talk) 19:31, 27 August 2024 (UTC)
- Also, Im Seong-gu should have Category:Intersex in history added to it. @Philosophy2: do you agree? 158.106.52.10 (talk) 15:55, 18 September 2024 (UTC)
- And good gracious @Fnlayson, Maxim, and Philosophy2: you have really got to do something about this vandalism done to the page Ɯ by 107.184.10.12. That dude replaced "Tsakhur" in the infobox with "jacksonesise"!!! I feel so nauseous, what with my IP being blocked so I can't undo that vandalism myself. 158.106.52.10 (talk) 18:25, 18 September 2024 (UTC)
- OK, I just reverted the test like edit to Ɯ. Thanks, -Fnlayson (talk) 19:00, 18 September 2024 (UTC)
September 2024 unblock request
[edit]
158.106.52.10 (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
I cannot imagine why "long term behavior from this IP address" merits a block for this IP address, especially when this is a shared IP and the block is a year long. I also cannot find any sockpuppet investigations from July 2024 that mentioned this IP address. 158.106.52.10 (talk) 18:25, 18 September 2024 (UTC)
Decline reason:
Your account was indefinitely blocked two years ago and you have been using this IP to evade that block. Ponyobons mots 22:25, 18 September 2024 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- Um, actually, @Ponyo: I myself do not have an account. Remember this IP is shared among employees of Dominion Virginia Power? Some other employee must have the account, but I cannot imagine who does, since at least 160 employees work in this building alone (and we don't all have the same supervisor[s]). As far as I can tell, all employees are issued the same make of laptop when we are hired for our jobs, and my/our IP(s) tend(s) to change whenever I/we work remotely.
Anyway...do you have permission to identify the account that "was indefinitely blocked two years ago" or not? (I assume your standard practice is not to do so. Although, I have heard of some instances where the violator's account name was given, such as in the Blocklog for "71.246.144.0/20" and Blocklog for "203.17.215.26" .)
And even if you can't say who that user was, can you still state the crime they committed to get blocked in the first place? 158.106.52.10 (talk) 14:32, 24 September 2024 (UTC) - There is zero doubt that this IP continues to be used to evade a block. It will not be unblocked.-- Ponyobons mots 22:17, 24 September 2024 (UTC)
October 2024
[edit]@Ponyo: I fully understand that somebody is using this IP to evade a block, so I'm not gonna appeal the block anymore. But you didn't answer my questions: Whoever was that violator "indefinitely blocked two years ago"? And what crime did they commit to be blocked in the first place? 158.106.52.10 (talk) 13:17, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
- Checkusers do not link IPs to accounts.-- Ponyobons mots 20:54, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Ponyo: But I thought you only ran the CheckUser program because you had heard allegations that a certain blocked user was evading a block?? Because you did say "Your account was indefinitely blocked two years ago", as if you knew the name of the account in question. For example, the account Pandit9087108 was blocked in November 2019, which was nearly five years ago.
- Incidentally... I've noticed an error at Sci-fiYesCrimeDramaNo's page: that user should be listed as a suspected sockpuppet of ComedyYes HorrorNo, not a sockpuppet of ComedyYesHorrorNo4.
And you may wanna list ComedyYesHorrorNo2 as another suspected sock of that guy, since ComedyYes HorrorNo was blocked in May 2021, and ComedyYesHorrorNo2 registered in July 2021 (ComedyYesHorrorNo3 in August 2021), and you blocked Sci-fiYesCrimeDramaNo in July 2024. (Personally, my guess as to why that sockmaster has yet to actually use the ComedyYesHorrorNo2 account is that they forgot its password--what a dunderhead they are.) 158.106.52.10 (talk) 14:54, 8 October 2024 (UTC)
