Blocked as a sockpuppet

[edit]
Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abusing multiple accounts as a sockpuppet of User:Archiedesai per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Archiedesai. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  GeneralNotability (talk) 02:23, 7 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I'm requesting an unblock for my account. I was blocked as a sockpuppet, but this was a mistake. I do not have any other accounts and have never engaged in sockpuppetry. I believe the block may have been triggered by sharing a public IP address with a family member who also edits, or by editing from multiple locations (home, university, cafe). I have reviewed the sockpuppetry policy and will ensure my future editing aligns with all rules. I'm a good-faith editor who wants to continue contributing to Wikipedia. I apologize for any disruption and thank you for your consideration. 01lt (talk) 11:54, 17 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I might buy that if you were blocked yesterday and not over 4 years ago. Where have you been? I can believe that this might be your only account, but that would only make this meat puppetry. 331dot (talk) 17:24, 17 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Thank you for your guidance. I am new to this and am eager to learn from all the contributors

Request reason:

Thank you for the question. You asked about my 4-year absence from editing. I understand why that would be a point of concern. For the past four years, I was on an extended work assignment for my company, which required me to be in a location with limited and controlled internet access. This assignment consumed all of my professional time and also restricted my ability to access external websites for personal use.

I was not in a position to edit Wikipedia or engage in any other online activities. The assignment has now ended, and I am back and eager to resume my contributions to the encyclopedia.
I can confirm that I have only ever used this one account. I have never used or operated any other accounts, and I am not a sockpuppet. I have reviewed the sockpuppetry policy and am fully committed to following all of Wikipedia's guidelines.
I apologize for the long period of inactivity, but it was beyond my control. I hope this explanation clarifies the situation and that you will reconsider unblocking my account. I look forward to contributing positively again. 01lt (talk) 18:02, 17 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Please only make one unblock request at a time. Sir Sputnik (talk) 22:46, 18 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Please place posts at the bottom so they stay in order. This may be easier to do if you click "edit" and not "reply" to edit this page, the reply function is imperfect and doesn't work well in every situation. 331dot (talk) 18:47, 17 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

This unblock request appears to have been written by a chatbot using a large language model. The purpose of unblock requests is to determine whether you, the human operating this account, understand why you were blocked – not to test a chatbot's ability to tell us what we want to hear. A message written (or rewritten) by a chatbot can also cause you to sound like you're making empty promises. It is better to write the unblock request yourself. Please read through the guide to appealing blocks for more help. Also, please follow the instructions that are given to you on this page. If English is not your native language, please consider editing the version of Wikipedia in your native language. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 13:52, 21 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
